They more than likely will, but due to all of the store closing lately, on top of any solid announcements, one can only speculate.

If the Best Buy sale ends on Saturday night (which it more than likely will), then I will assume that the prices will go back up by Sunday afternoon.

Metropolitan would be in the same wheelhouse as much of the work of Woody Allen and Noah Baumbach. Heavy on the verbal wit and sarcasm among the upperclass (and those aspiring to the upperclass) of New York City.

I haven't seen Band of Outsiders (actually forgot about it!), but I have seen Purple Noon. If you're familiar with the Mr. Ripley story, you'll enjoy that one.

I can't disagree with this, but I greatly enjoy Allen and Baumbach while Stillman fills me with ambivalent shrugs. I personally wouldn't recommend the Stillmans as slamdunk blind buys, if that was indeed the question.

I can do it since, for the most part, I've seen the films. Very few blind buy titles. It just gets down to things like extras=bang for the $ or "do I really need to upgrade a title with the same extras?" Stuff like that. Funny thing is I started going through the Blu titles in the Collection looking for about 10 titles to pare down and ended up with 42!

Oh well, time to get cold-blooded!

What about Videodrome? I've never seen any of them but the previews and subject matters interest me.

I just watched Badlands and Days of Heaven a few days ago and didn't like either. I guess I am not a fan of Mallick's work like most on this thread :/

I'd say Badlands is one of the top 5 safest blind-buys in the entire collection. The Cronenberg films are far more challenging in comparison, especially Lunch which could be his least accessible film.

My wife and I HATED Tree of Life.

Not been brave enough to try anything else of his yet.

Naked Lunch doesn't really have a definable plot and it is very easy to get lost throughout it.

On The Waterfront may be cheaper during the B&N sale with the usage of coupons and in-store membership discounts.
