I'm hoping for some classic Horror Blu Ray Updates: Haxan, Peeping Tom, Vampyr or The Vanishing.

Good call, especially Peeping Tom.

I believe they lost the rights to Peeping Tom.

I wonder if the clue that most of us thought was Le Samourai because it looks like a sword was actually for Zatoichi and his staff/sword

Oh....Haxan is one messed up film. It's a lot more unsettling than one would thing, given the film's age. A friend of mine let me borrow her copy a few years ago, and I was blown away.

That would not explain the bird cage.

But...La Cage would explain the bird cage.

Grrrr...

EDIT: Looks to me that the guy in the hint is wearing an overcoat...hence, Le Samourai. (I hope.)

It's linked on the La Notte page, so I'm assuming it'll be Blu-ray.

If Zatoichi is correct, then doesn't that eliminate the clue that so many were interpreting as Le Samourai?

Looks like what I suspected all along is true and Le Samourai isn't coming. I hope they prove me wrong.

I've taken a look at the resto for The Housemaid, which is out in France via Carlotta Films (we could not review it because it is not English-friendly). The film looks spectacular.

A Blu-ray release will please a lot of people in the U.S. (and English-speakers in general).

I just took another look at the 2013 hint, and it looks as through the guy with the birdcage and sword is wearing an overcoat. That would indicate Le Samourai.

I'm getting my hopes up, though.

I'm totally down with a Zatoichi release, though. Awesomeness.

Nice! I may just need to rent the DVD.

how about The Hunger considering it has almost been a full year since Tony Scott's passing.

That's really great to hear, Pro-B. I hope The Horse Thief is part of the new series too. It's an incredible film which Scorsese himself deemed the best of the 1990's.

Another great suggestion... hopefully Jon from Criterion is trolling in here and taking notes.
