From right here at blu-ray.com, though I'm not quite sure why there are placeholders for titles not yet announced. The database has a lot of them, not just for Criterion.

The Killing also features voice-over narration, and it's a trip to hear it in a Kubrick film. It goes hand-in-hand with the calculated precision of the narration, though, and it is necessary to guide us through the flashbacks.
Yeah, Kane appears in a couple of episodes of the series.

As for the voice-over narration, I don't often find it a problem. It was odd for it to seem too intrusive in Naked City, and I think partly because it was filling in exposition for events that weren't filmed -- I'm sure it was a budgetary issue. But mostly because of the second person narration; I kept talking back to the TV "Why are you talking to the character? He can't hear you!"

I haven't seen it since it was first released. That I recall, I thought it was well done, and Eric Roberts was astonishingly good as a creep -- probably his best performance ever. But the material made it difficult for me to watch.

After watching the superb John Ford film, Drums Along the Mohawk, tonight, I've decided that I want an upgrade of Young Mr. Lincoln to be announced tomorrow.

Make it happen, Criterion.

My first reaction to this rumour is ugh, great, now I have to buy this movie on blu-ray for the third time. But it is one of my top ten favourite movies, and if they give it a 5-star technical presentation and include both versions of the film (the different voices in the restored scenes in the 3-hour version are distracting to me to the point where I sort of prefer the 2-hour-40 cut)... that could be a badass little package. Anyway, definitely taking that with a grain of salt.

There aren't any spaghetti westerns in the Criterion Collection, are there? Ugh, imagine Great Silence on Criterion – that'd be amazing.

Anyways, December releases tomorrow, what are the titles that were teased to come out this year we still ain't seen?: Eraserhead, Scanners, Boy... The Tenant? I assume we're not gonna see all of those.

I'm super-excited for Eraserhead myself. All the complaints every month of "Where's Eraserhead?" have been a bit annoying, cause we know it's coming... but if it's not announced tomorrow... hmm... all I can say's I hope they're releasing it concurrent with Mulholland Dr., and whenever they announce those – if they had to push it back to 2014 to do 'em together or if they announce it tomorrow – it'll be a good month. God I hope they're not not releasing Mulholland Drive.

Other things... we're due for a Kurosawa upgrade, innit?

And, hmm... Ugetsu'd round out a great year for Mizoguchi films.

Yep. That's my wishlist for tomorrow.

I wouldn't mind a David Lynch box set or Like Someone In Love tomorrow.

Thanks for the opinion, Jay. I'm generally a fan of films others consider tough to watch or harrowing. I think a local video store is still renting it out, so I will try to get a hold of that copy.

To be Honest, the only Lynch I need right now (besides Eraserhead) is The Straight Story. I can make due with my German Blurays of his other films, just, somebody, please release The Straight Story.

Well, I'm hoping Sullivan's Travels is announced, since it's coming out in the UK.

Also, I'm keen for another Kurosawa.

Also, Ace in the Hole.

This is a question I've had for quite some time but never figured to ask:

How does one go about finding the "ghost pages" on Criterion.com?

Yes indeed. It ranks right alongside Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet & Inland Empire as one of my favorite Lynch films. Criminally underrated movie.

You just named all 4 of my favorite Lynch films!

Lost Highway is kinda weird but cool too, but that is 5th on my list (after Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, Straight Story and Inland Empire).

Great minds, Orson. Although, to be fair, there's not a Lynch film I dislike. Even Dune and (to a lesser degree) Twin Peaks: FWWM offered something interesting. The man is a genius and I hope he'll make another film before he kicks the bucket.

Inland Empire is something else, I will tell you. The first go around, I was left cold and confused, then the second time, I just let it all wash over me & I swear, it was almost a religious experience. I was living Inland Empire, not merely watching it.

I can't wait to see the film for a third time on my 55" setup. Should prove to be very fun.

Something tells me the titles everyone is speculating or hoping for will not be announced, at least not for December, like Eraserhead and Mulholland Dr. I would hope, though, that they do become Criterions soon.
On a site note, I would LOVE for them to release In A Lonely Place. That film deserves more exposure and to be in hd.
