Not to mention the releases are across the board in quality, IMO.

Some are and some aren't. Pro-b has reviewed most, if not all, of them on this site. Read those and you'll know which are/aren't. Also, check out the Studio Canal thread in the European section for more info.

Personally, I think it would be better to have negative rep points. The most negative points wins!!! But that's just me...

I actually like my positive ones because no one expected it for me. Thanks to all again.

I gave you a rep point, so you have to live with positive ones.

I guess I have to follow the norm. CG, you may have the most points on the forum so far. Now that really is ironic..

Thank ya. But I like P@t_Mtl, so I won't be mad with him beating me. I would give you some more but it's saying I have to pass out more to other people first. I think I did everyone on this page.

The situation in Australia is not that great either... they did release about 8 of the Studio Canal bluray titles here from the first 1 or 2 series, but they were only available through JB Hifi stores, and they seem to have all but disappeared. I special-ordered The Elephant Man but it never came in. I don't know if this is all because they just imported a small number of each title for the Oz market to test it out.

There has been no sign of the last batch (Lady Killers, The Go Between). So it looks like importing from Amazon UK is in order.

I do wish that Criterion had kept the rights to some of these. But I am pleased that it looks like they are going to give us a bluray of Breathless.

I am still surprised that Criterion has not announced anything about Amarcord and Bicycle Thieves blu-rays. Im hoping for a 2011 release of these two, as I cant see them waiting till 2012 or just passing up on them altogether.

I could see 2011 releases of these. In the 2 years Criterion has been putting out blus (counting through this year), they will have released alot of the "popular" titles they have. Seventh Seal, Breathless, Seven Samurai, 8 1/2, 400 Blows, etc. So I can see the trend keep going next year with releases of their "big/popular" directors like Bergman, Ozu and Fellini.

I am hoping we see Buñuel, Rossellini and Cassavetes. Godard could be done for a while, unless WEEKEND is released in blu, which I don't see why not.

I'd like to see the 5 Cassavetes films on blu... Never got the DVD set, how much work would they need to make them blu worthy? Apparently there are no plans for Rossellini's War Trilogy on blu since the masters weren't in that great of shape... I broke down and got the DVD set. I want to see more Bergman (especially Through a Glass Darkly and Fanny & Alexander), maybe something hip like Brazil, (since I got the excellent Double Life of Veronique disc from Artificial Eye, I don't need that), Children of Paradise, Forbidden Games, more Truffaut, and RAN! lol
