I hope so! A HD transfer was done in 2009 or so and Gaumont released the film on blu-ray in France shortly after, so it's definitely a possibility.

It isn't a popular Fellini movie though, so I would be surprised to see it released before others.

Yes, I copied and pasted the wrong clue. I'm on my phone so it was a little difficult, I just copied the one I saw first.

Could the clock just be The Big Clock or would that be too obvious?

The hands are pointing to 1:23, so it seems to be referencing the Wilder film.

The Brood was confirmed a while away. Midnight Cowboy is supposedly due in 2015 too.

For those just joining in on the fun, I split up everything in list form. Most seem to be accurate, but if you guys see anything wrong, do say so.

Quote:
THE SKY
  • The two suns are referencing The Dardenne Brothers' Two Days, One Night (2014).
THE GROUNDS
  • The house with the moon above it is referencing Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom (2012).
  • Llewyn Davis is referencing The Coen Brothers' Inside Llewyn Davis (2013).
  • The group of people with knives is referencing _______________.
  • The group of soldiers and cowboys with knives is referencing _______________.
THE BRIDGE
  • The group of hooded figures is referencing David Cronenberg's The Brood (1979).
  • The man running for dear life is referencing Ted Wilde's Speedy (1928).
  • The two people in the car is referencing Stanley Donen's Two for the Road (1967).
  • The man at the end of the bridge is referencing Jonathan Demme's A Master Builder (2013).
  • The clock set to "1:23" is referencing Billy Wilder's One, Two, Three (1961).
THE WATER
  • The man fishing is referencing Terry Gilliam's The Fisher King (1991).
  • The eyeball is referencing Marlon Brando's One-Eyed Jacks (1961).
  • The colonial ship is referencing Terrence Malick's The New World (2005)
THE GROUNDS
  • The person pushing the stand is referencing _______________.
  • The girl with her back turned is referencing Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984)*.
  • The blood splattered spot on the ground is referencing _______________.
  • The rose is referencing _______________.

* = Disney owns the Blu-ray distribution rights to the film and it seems almost impossible that they would part with it.

That would be amazing. Their DVD was horrible and this film deserves a proper transfer. Since they're releasing soon Satyricon as well, I could see this happening.

I don't understand why the eye reminds of Ponyo.

other thoughts:
One-Eyed Jacks
Reflections in a Golden eye (that was recently released in France)

!!!! OMG, it's the first!!!
I see jack can refer to:
Quote:
Fish

Carangidae, generally
Almaco jack
Amberjack
Bar jack
Black jack (fish)
Crevalle jack
Giant trevally or ronin jack
Jack mackerel
Leather jack
Yellow jack
Coho salmon, males called "jacks"
Esox (northern pike), young called "jacks"
"Jackfish" or "jack", a western Canadian name for Northern pike
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack

So, an one eyed fish --> One-Eyed Jacks!!!

It only seems fitting that Criterion by the ones to release the only film directed by the legendary Brando.

[Show spoiler]

Definitely a possibility. The first thing that came to my mind was "Where the Wild Things Are" because of their oversized hands and such.

I think that's pretty spot on. They kinda hinted some time ago at a release of The Brood.

Well shucks, that certainly could be another possibility, especially because Jonze is already in the Collection.

To ease my mind, though, I'm going to throw it up to the fact that the drawings are supposed to be wacky.

I'm guessing it will include Another Day, Another Time which I don't think has been released in the states. It was on DVD as part of the 3 disc Canadian blu release and has a standalone blu release on the UK.
