Yes, but you will be hit with shipping fees from what others have posted.

For those who have never ordered from B&N before, use this code for 20% off:

Sucks.
Only the July pre-orders are 50% off. Crumb & Black Orpheus (both August releases) are not in the sale.

I can perhaps afford 3 or 4 Criterion releases tomorrow. Even though I've never seen The Red Shoes, I'm also thinking of picking that up for 50% off when it comes out later this month.

Anyway, what do you think are the very best Criterions (Blus, obviously) to consider buying? Here is what I ALREADY own:

- Bottle Rocket
- Chungking Express
- Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The
- Days of Heaven
- 8 1/2
- 400 Blows, The
- Playtime
- Repulsion
- Third Man, The

***I'm looking for a combination of a great movie, high A/V quality, and preferably a good set of supplements.

Films I've Seen Once Before and Am Considering:

- Close-Up
- Gomorrah
- Man Who Fell to Earth, The
(liked it well enough when i saw it, but it's the OOP status that is mainly keeping it high on my to-buy list)
- Mystery Train
- Paris, Texas
- Seventh Seal, The
- Walkabout
- Wings of Desire

Films I've Never Seen That I'm Considering:

- Last Year at Marienbad, The
- Leopard, The
- Pierrot le Fou
- Yojimbo

I've even considered renting some of these ahead of time to see how I feel about them, but I may not have time to do so unless they're available via Netflix on Demand. Anyway, any suggestions?

Does it add to the 50%? And do you know how much the shipping fees are for Canada? from what others posted?

Pierrot le Fou, Yojimbo and the English version of The Leopard are available to stream on Netflix right now.

Members of various forums reporting that they are creating multiple e-mail accounts to create a new member account , using the AAA, Library other B&N stores and then using the new member code: U8K3U4A to get the extra 20% off on top of the 10% off (store discount) and 50% off pricing.

I don't plan on trying it but for those using the AAA and their membership, the discount works out nicely.

NOTE: Another stackable code to the AAA or other book store or non-members as well for 10% off one item: R3F8L4T

Am I the only idiot not shopping online, not taking advantage of stacking codes (I'm not a B & N member and/or a AAA member) and merely going to the store and just getting the 50% off?

No, I'm sure there will be other "idiots" like you, rkish.

I order online and do the in-store picking, as well.

I used NetFlix streaming for as many titles as were available and attempted to rent as many of the blu-ray titles as possible.

That's what nailed a number of titles for me...

FYI...they JUST added "Everlasting Moments" to the streaming queue...this was of course after I got the rental BD from them. No matter...it's on my list and I'm glad that I got to see it first...what a great film!

Red Desert is on a "long wait" status and The Leopard is unavailable...I might take a chance with Red Desert, but had a chance to see the English version of The Leopard.
