I am not 100% certain we have the same channel here in Canada but my movie channels do not show adverts. As for the cuts or editing, usually it is a film I am watching for the first time I have no idea, sorry.

Speaking of Possession, I strolled through Mondo Vision's limited edition last week. This has got to be one of the most lovingly articulated and reverent releases in the format's history. Everything from the packaging to the special features are so carefully considered. Just beautiful. I wish every great film could have a temple like this. Whatever their next release is (Silver Glove?), it's day one for me.

It should $65 from Toufaan, their primary retailer. Still ouch, but definitely an immaculate release. There is also a special edition which is cheaper. I heard Mondo Vision still haven't drawn a profit from this release which is quite a shame.
