Yeah, I did find your post about it after I'd added mine. It's awful, he was such a talented composer. I remember his music from so many movies, the Braveheart orchestral soundtrack is one of the few I own.

really? I found it really interesting and I'm not sure I like Ozu, I had such a terrible first experience w/ Kiarostami, and was at the forefront of those saying, "WTF?? Tootsie?" I'm also not familiar w/ the Canadian director.

he said really nice things about these films. he sold them well.

Just didn't really interest me, but each to their own!

I have seen greedier people in there so I guess that was sorta refreshing. Maybe I am just jealous I wasn't invited to the cupboard.

Look what I discovered while at a local music shop the other day. The original soundtrack to Tarkovsky's Solaris sitting right there. If anyone is interested in buying this LP vinyl record, let me know and I'll go back and see if its still there!

That is kind of a cool LP soundtrack find. I know a few years ago there was site that let people download the full length Solaris score for free, courtesy of the film composer. They even posted an article about how the music was recorded etc.

Thats the Superior Viaduct release from a year or two back - was looking at it but ended up buying the Russian re-release instead. Pretty sure it is still in print.

the Michael Cera video wasn't that bad. Most people who go into the closet kind of meander around and sometimes don't say much about a movie. He seemed to like talking about the titles and knew of other films that came to his mind and didn't just mention it to be hip.

He has steered my clear of Good Morning if it ever gets a BLU upgrade. I dislike bodily function humor and that is why I got rid of Fanny & Alexander, it wasn't needed in the movie at all.
