Criterion are announcing Kubrick's Napoleon, full uncut for first time and the transfer was approved by Kubrick.

Did you mean Abel Gance's Napoleon? Kubrick never shot his version of Napoleon, so it's not even possible to release it...

As far as Mary Poppins is concerned, he thought that it was a good movie for children.

And as for White Men Can't Jump, I was thrilled to hear that Stanley liked it because it was always a guilty pleasure of mine. But after I learned that Kubrick liked it, I removed the "guilty" part. It's actually a good movie. Maybe it reminded Stanley of his youth, being a chess hustler and the dog-eat-dog world of sports hustling on the street, he was a huge sports fan as well.

Another film that you wouldn't expect Kubrick to like but he apparently did was this one:

Kubrick had actually spoken at length about how much he liked White Men Can't Jump. I'm sure there was definitely some personal resonance for him...and it is definitely a well made film. Although, I'd go with the more typical choice of Bull Durham for my favorite Shelton.

I'm thinking the big announcement will be Mulholland Drive or Le Samorai. The former seems more plausible, but I feel like the latter would warrant Criterion hyping a big announcement even more.
