Even though it currently says DVD, that's the blu-ray link. I posted it a few pages back. If you do an Amazon search you'll find the DVD listing, which is priced at $20.99. The single-disc blu-rays are almost always priced at $27.99 when they go up on Amazon.

I think Fish Tank was teased with a screenshot of the film on facebook or twitter or something.

Just got shipping notification for my entire order EXCEPT The Secret of the Grain
Figures the title that delayed my order for a week isn't getting shipped out with the rest...... I should have placed separate orders

My local B&N is holding their last copy of The Secret of the Grain for me. Hope it's a good movie. Another Criterion blind buy!

Well a title like Armageddon probably makes a lot more money for Criterion. Most of the movies released by criterion have a much smaller audience. That being said I don’t collect criterion titles by spine number and in some sense feel a movie like Armageddon would corrupt my movie library.

Just broke down and ordered Red Desert, Lola Montès, Vivre Sa Vie, Wings of Desire. This B&N sale needs to end.

Come on. B&N shipped my order on the 21st. I can fully accept that the package hasn't arrived today, but when I track their shipping information there has been zero updates to my tracking since the 22nd. It's apparently still in Kentucky.

No, someone posted a Criterion Facebook photo over on criterionforum.org of the Sternberg box set, but my work place blocks Facebook so I don't know if that's why the photo didn't show up.

It has bad acting and it is dated just like all the other 70's Sci-fi films.

Edit:

It's hard to make future films and look back. It had 70's hair and clothes.
Remember though, Star Wars was to have taken place "a long time ago...in a galaxy far far away."

So, in that context, is it fair to compare clothing and hairstyles in the film to what was being worn on our planet at that time? I don't remember seeing many people walking around with Princess Leia buns

I didn't have any trouble with BN with Red Shoes and Black Narcissus.

A week before the release date I telephoned the Chagrin Blvd. store and had them special ordered. I then stopped by the store on the 20th and bought them.

Good luck I had a few B&N packages sit in Kentucky for days and days. I think they're slackers up there.

Acting, not top notch. It is dated. It's a 70's future space film. But I guess it is fun, and it has the biggest fan base among mainstream films.
True...remember, George Lucas made it clear that he was going for the look and feel of the Saturday morning serials that used to show in the theatre before feature length movies (now, we get endless commercials for Pepsi and Coke), something akin to Flash Gordon.

That as always been the major trouble with Star Wars. The first movie got so popular that people elevated the entire thing to a level it never should have gotten in the first place at all. To this day I am still amaze at how certain people look at the 1977 movie as if it's a second coming.
Exactly!!

Why is Netflix not carrying The Red Shoes on Blu-ray? They have other Criterion titles.

You mean this picture?

It hasn't been officially posted by Criterion on facebook or on their website, but it could be the final artwork.
