Also, I still have plenty of room for the upcoming Criterion BDs...there are still four empty shelves below those three.

Alphabet for me. It is just easier that way to find things if I'm looking for a particular one.

I bought "A Christmas Tale" at a Best Buy when it was released, and I found "The Secret of the Grain" at the B&N in Bethesda, MD.

It may not appeal to everyone. Depends on how you feel about the music of the era. But if you bought everything up to this point, I suppose you can complete your collection if you buy it right?

Oh, I'm a big fan of Sony Pictures Classics releases and have nearly every Blu-ray and the majority of the DVD's from them. Their upcoming release is "Orlando" but only for DVD though, no BD release and as mentioned "The Secret In Their Eyes".

Not sure if this is still on sale but I believe last week the BD was on sale for $18.99 at DeepDiscount. Great Blu-ray!

Hey BM, how much did the set come out to? You used the 20% off right when B&N were still accepting coupons? I'm wondering if "Madayo" will be released on another Eclipse Series.

Are you guys wearing your "House" shirt outdoors? Curious to hear what kind of comments you get?

I may have missed this in previous threads but by looking at Dustin's photo, "The Leopard" case is larger than the other Blu's?

I love this movie. I still remember running out to B&N and buying a copy at full price when I heard it was OOP. I'm glad I did.

In case you're interested in the non-Criterion release, I was at Costco last week and I saw the Hitch box set including Notorious for really cheap.

I see that I'm not the only collector of Criterions in No. Va on this forum. The B&N in Tyson's Corner has the best selection out of the ones I've seen. I scooped up Nights of Cabiria (on DVD) there during the last sale.

I wear mine all the time. Once someone even knew what it was. I was shocked/stoked! I'm sure most people just chalk it up to me loving cats with no actual idea what it is. haha.

just finished another Sirk masterpiece--
"All That Heaven Allows".
if that isn't a perfectly constructed film I don't know what is.
absolutely mesmerizing use of color and composition.
PLEASE let Criterion release this film on blu-ray.

I would be interested to hear what you think about the Neil Young Archives. I've always looked at it fondly but I just don't listen to as much music as I used to and can't justify the money. Instead I spent it on $14 criterion blus. At least I learned how to prioritize.

Hey Beta, the C on Bottle Rocket is also higher here. Are all Bottle Rocket replacement cases artwork misaligned? If so, will there be a replacement case offered for the replacement case?

It seems like right around when I first started posting here, maybe a month or two after, there was this big OCD-ness over the misaligned "C" on Bottle Rocket. Beta, much like Dr. Frankenstein, has risen it from the dead.

The comments right under the pictures are pretty funny, but are we really calling films from 1996 and 1994 "classics" now-a-days .

It came out to $143.99 plus tax....... I had many of the films, so could never justify the price before.... but for that price, I didn't mind the large amount of over-lapping I got...... I haven't busted it open yet, but it's a nice looking box, that's for sure...... I can't wait to watch the early works I haven't seen yet.

When I got the shirt, I was excited, and jumped in the shower and got all spiffy'd up to rush out to show it off.....
I was surprised at the comments I got when I wore the shirt out..... I went to the mall, and clearly heard people commenting..... mostly stuff like "Look at that guy in the bright orange shirt who isn't wearing any pants"

[Show spoiler] I just got it today, but can't wait to bust it out..... the wife just rolled her eyes at me..... going to a couple of Phish shows in a couple of weeks, and figure the amount of people on various hallucinatory drugs should provide some interesting looks for sure!

OMG I have no self control. I after buying The Human Condition and Solyaris this morning I was like "Done. That's all I'm getting." So what did I do later this evening? Went out and bought FIVE more titles

Blu-ray

Red Desert
The Secret of the Grain
Everlasting Moments
Black Narcissus

DVD

Dillinger is Dead.

Again, I have no self-control. This is like crack to me. *FACEPALM*
