Plus, it's 2-discs. $40.
First "Paths of Glory" now this.
I can finally upgrade my Criterion Laserdiscs.

(Although I'm guessing Ghostbusters isn't coming anytime soon).

Also, since 2 films are on one disc, what will the covers look like. That will be interesting to see, whenever they can show them. Hope it doesn't take as long as Darjeeling.

I don't see spine numbers. I was talking about the inside cover art in the box. Each should have artwork to them, like the Brakhage set.

Also, no one isn't complaining about Modern Times' cover art?

I think a few folks on the facebook page were hating on it. I think it's awesome. It was done by Sam that did the Hausu cover as well as a few others that escape me at the moment.

Moreso than just being an amazing month, this whole year of Criterion releases has been phenomenal

They are good quality if they arrive in good shape. So far I've been lucky. But they've been known to come in the mail or off store shalves all dinged up for many people.

It's been done before. The Monsters and Madmen set had two films on a disc so they put the art on the front and back of the cover. Perhaps something similar to this.

Alternatively. they could do something like they did with "The Killers"

There have been many box sets with spine numbers on the titles which weren't available individually: Dreyer, I am Curious, Antione Doniel, etc.

The individual pages on The Criterion site have spine numbers in the placeholder info and the box set has no spine number, so it's likely they will.

I just still can't believe the price for the New Hollywood (BBS films) set. Only $100. That is the biggest surprise in today's announcements.

Same here. I thought it would average $20 per film and the set would only be $100 if there were 5 films. Instead there are 7 films for $100.
