I'm quite disappointed a bit anyway.
Out of these I'm only interested maybe in the first that was posted although I have not seen it.

edit: and again, there isn't any upgrade? or is it? I'm not familiar with Criterion DVDs.

I had a chance to watch Jeanne Dielman, 23, quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles this morning. I'm so glad that I didn't wait any longer. Who knows if and when Criterion will upgrade to a Blu-ray release.

I think I've found the subject for my first film review on Blu-ray.com.

Watched "The Thin Blue Line" today for the first time in a few years. Damn is that a phenomenal film. It's one of those rare films I'd rate a true 10/10 in terms of what it accomplishes in its given medium. The way David Ray Harris sits there with a shit-eating grin on his face during practically every minute he's on screen being interviewed is something that always sticks with me.

I found both The Thin Blue Line and A Brief History of Time enthralling. Now, I'm very much looking forward to seeing Gates of Heaven. I think it's pretty safe to say I'm a big Errol Morris fan, so I'll probably just blind buy it in July.

Whether or not they're released in August or not, they'll be placeholder entries for the future.

if the number seems low, they could also be splitting a title from a boxset, those should not really be taking release places but seems that's the way they do it anyway.

Yeah, it did. The extras on that disc are really great and go into the aftermath of the film in a lot of depth.

[Show spoiler]Adams was set free after spending 12 years in prison and coming three days away from execution at one point. Although, Adams slapped a lawsuit on Morris after the film because he wanted more royalties from the movie. Amazingly, David Harris went out and committed the second murder that landed him on death row during a time period when he was supposed to be sitting down with Morris for an interview. So, the interviews in the film are after Harris committed his second murder. Also, Morris' camera went out on him during the interview with Harris, so the reason why Harris' confession is audio-only with the visual of the tape recorder rolling is because Morris had no other choice. But it actually ended up working. Harris, like some psychopaths, was a disarming guy visually. He looked about 10 years younger than his age with a shit-eating grin plastered on his face, so the audio-only contrasted nicely with the rest of the film where you see him on camera.
