Blue Velvet is a nice choice. Myself, I love his wild 70's days, directing and acting. If you want to see Dennis Hopper at his craziest, watch the Australian film MAD DOG MORGAN. I think you can watch it on IMDB. But you need an account. I don't have one there, so not sure.

Or just watch this:

Yeah, now that I think about it, all I know is the older Hopper...time to go back.

Hmmm, have you seen Rebel Without A Cause? He is in that. Dennis and James Dean was friends. Dennis could have a movie made about his life.

Friends with Dean, drugs, Nicholas Ray.
The Legend of John Wayne chasing him off set of True Grit with a shotgun.
Hopper/Nicholson/BBS Productions, Easy Rider.
Leaving Hollywood, low budget, foreign films, low point with drugs.
Coming back to Hollywood with Apocalypse Now.
etc, etc, etc.

It's more exciting then me writing it.

Too bad on Hammett...sounds like a good film.
haha yeah you might have to track those down on VHS.

I ordered Hammett from a 3rd party on Amazon once all those Paramount titles went OOP. Seems unlikely it will be released on blu anytime soon .

With longer hair, a lumpier suit and cargo pants that Travolta wax could pass as Tommy Wiseau. The Nick Cage one......scares the kids I'm sure.

Yeah, it looks great compared to that Cage/Travolta stuff. Just goes to show how there is better talent out there than people who do it professionally.

Beta would love it in his bathroom.

It's a private commision piece made by Bobby C, check out his Gallery - mindblowing stuff. And yes, these are very expensive since they are usually single pieces sculpted with silicone, acrylic eyes, rooted hair + real clothes.
Sorry for off-topic.

hahaha, they should totally convert the travolta to wiseau, complete with football to toss and "Lisa, you're tearing me apart!" sound clip. They are from this wax museum in St. Augustine, FL. It was a mixed bag throughout, but man these were just awful. It made me laugh so hard that FACE-OFF was a big enough deal to someone that they had these two and the Face-Off banner installed and have just left them there. Here's an example of an awesome one, although i question it being wax:

I got one I was lagging on (as CC points out ) and ordered both pre-orders, but everything is backordered.........

I may need to stop buying titles for awhile, depending on what type of new vehicle my wife decides we need
