I know probably it's been mentioned many times over the years in this huge thread, but how do you guys know how to uncover the new titles before they release the info? Just curious.

Honestly, any month that brings out "only Le Samouraï for me" is a great month. Any other title and I would be disappointed with the November slate, but this one was been asked for years.

I guess I might be the only person who never cared for Le Samouraï, especially in comparison to some of the other Melville films.

The first French release was crappy. I bet that the Criterion will look pretty much identical to the French re-release and the Japanese release though.

Harold Lloyd neglected again? I wonder why Criterion is moving at such a glacial pace with the Lloyd titles (one every two years is not using that library very effectively). I might be in for The Philadelphia Story when it goes on sale (I know I'm in the minority on this opinion but I actually prefer the remake High Society over the original).

I don't remember who in this thread is apeshit for Le Samourai, but I recall at least 3 or 4 people here have been talking about this title for at least 4 years now here.
