Pierrot le fou is not only a great movie, but it's also out of print. So.....

if you ever want the Criterion, now is the time.

Well if you ever want Pierrot le fou (which is one of my fav Criterion blu-rays), now is the time, since it will be gone or be sold for over $100.

Welp, considering I need to save a wee bit for the upcoming releases, I'll probably just get African Queen.

Question, if I pre-ordered Darjeeling when it was $29, will Amazon give me the $24.99 price, or should I cancel and re order?

It's hit or miss with them. I actually ordered from them for the first time recently, after reading about them on these forums, and I actually got some stuff in 5 days, and some in 5+ weeks. I even had to call them and have them re-ship Crumb since I did not receive it at all. Then the second one took another month to get.

My Jane's Addiction BD finally came yesterday, and now I'm done with them...at least for now...

So...good luck with your love child!

Amazon has a pre-order price guarantee. If you order something and it goes down in price from that time until its shipping date, you will be charged the lowest price during that time span. So, all of us who ordered that piece of Wes Anderson filth will only be charged $24.99.

A bunch of my BDs went down in price since I pre-ordered them in July (Charade went down .50!! Psycho a few bucks, American Beauty $2 I think, Se7en, and now Darjeeling) So, you should be good.

Cool, thanks. It's been a while since I pre-ordered from there and saw the price change. I forgot how that worked.

Quick question that I have been doing, if you can remember, was all of your long wait shipments from Deepdiscount Criterion and Kino films, and was all of your quick shipments non-Criterion, non-Kino?

Well, my first order was Benjamin Button, A Christmas Tale, and Crumb. I received BB and Xmas in about 5 days. Crumb never came, but it was backordered at the time. A week or so later, I ordered The Karate Kid (80's), Janes Addiction and In Cold Blood. Each of those took forever and they all came seperately. Somewhere in the middle, Crumb arrived, but only after I called them to say I never received it after the shipping notice came out.

So, I don't think they are having trouble with ONLY Criterion or Kino films. I just think they suck (while offering decent prices).
