will Criterion get the rights back to The Adventures of Baron Munchausen? I just want a nicer release and an upgrade from the LaserDisc

Have that as well. Thought their weekly movie was it, but it was The Fabulous Baron Munchausen which isn't as enjoyable for me.

Carnival of Souls
Cat People
Lady Snowblood
Fantastic Planet
The Brood
Night of the Living Dead

Anyone else know what others come with 'em?
Time Bandits (the map they use in the movie).

I did it.

I bought Berlin Alexanderplatz.

Things fall apart.

The center cannot hold.

Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world.

The blood-dimmed tide is loosed and everywhere the ceremony of innocence is drowned.

...god help me.

Excellent! I've seen it twice - once on VHS and the other the US 35mm print, and will probably get the Blu this summer. A true epic.

Not sure if this was posted before but the re-release of Picnic at Hanging Rock will come without the book, likely will just be a plastic case.

I'm pretty sure one of the Wes Anderson movies comes with a poster of some sort. I'll have to check this evening which one.

Very overdue for a Blu Ray upgrade -

Z
Billy Liar
This Sporting Life
Several Kurosawas (Red Beard, Bad Sleep Well, Drunken Angel)

Please Criterion - do something about this in 2019!

Isn't Z, OOP? Billy Liar is with Kino. Agree with the Kurosawa's and I would also add Stray Dog.

KJones77 (also a member here) said this on reddit about Z:

Quote:
Do not panic. As with Andrei Rublev earlier this year, Z going OOP merely means they have exhausted their stock of the original DVD release. They have not lost the rights, as it is a Janus title. Best guess would be that, as with Andrei Rublev, a blu-ray upgrade is in the near future so they are not bothering to waste money/time re-printing the old release.

Do not panic buy the DVD release. I guarantee third party re-sellers will try to gouge the unsuspecting.

I just wish Fast Times would come out on Blu-Ray by Criterion. So much rare material for that film. Why not?

haven't seen that one. but looking at clips and reading about it it does not sound appealing to me. It is a shame they don't have the fourth Gilliam movie in the collection as they could easily do a box set of his trilogy Time Bandits, Brazil and Adventures of Baron Muchausen.

I'll say what I always say when this comes up:

Pandora's Box

I'd also love Diary of a Lost Girl, but that could very well be a rights issue. I don't know. But my DVD is Kino.

Not necessarily. Le Trou could have been licensed to yet another label (there is at least more or possibly two additional SC licensing labels in addition to Lionsgate, Criterion, Kino and Shout Factory).
