Oh right, it was in the Warner Kubrick collection I have, so I'd forgotten it was just licensed out to them for that. Same with Spartacus from Universal.

WB is going to deliver the goods. For many it would be a day 1 no hesitation buy. I wouldn't even mind double dipping on 2001 on UHD.

The box aesthetic is absolutely gorgeous and on-point I will say. Fingers crossed the content is SUPER SPECIAL. (those fresh scans we've needed for ages!)

The ever elusive Seed made in 1931 is the one I've yet to add to my collection.

All This, And Heaven Too--1940 (starring with the excellent Charles Boyer)
The Old Maid--1939 (she and Miriam Hopkins were perfect in this)
Now, Voyager--1942 (excellent character actress Gladys Cooper as her mother is icing on the cake)
All About Eve--1950 (art imitating life but Davis nailed this role)
Strangers: The Story Of A Mother And Daughter--1979 (starring with the amazing Gena Rowlands) Davis won a well deserved Emmy for this.

Of course, with 101 films to choose from it is hard to really pick a top 5. In my book, 90% of her Warner Bros. films are excellent.

It's most likely a repackaged BD set timed to be cross promoted with the 4K/new BD release of The Shining. I wouldn't expect much more.

If by some small chance it is a 4K UHD Stanley Kubrick collection they better also offer A Clockwork Orange separately. ACO and 2001 A Space Odyssey are all of the Kubrick I need. Strangelove is a great film but I don't think I need to own it. The others are coma inducing boring.

I hope Kubrick collection is a 4K release, but I hope it includes Barry Lyndon! Lyndon and Eyes Wide Shut are the top 2 wants, but I really like all his films!

I'm planing to double-dip in any event as it is a favourite, but I won't be able to comment until I've picked up and watched the Criterion.

Beaver reviewed the Criterion release a few weeks back, and the site here has a review of the TT. You could check both out for a rough comparison (I'm actually surprised Beaver never reviewed the TT as it is very much his kind of title).

I’m not a huge Kubrick fan (at least compared to some of the other folks on the site) but for one to call films such as “The Killing”, “Paths of Glory”, and “Spartacus” “coma inducing boring” is someone I can’t trust.

It's not. 100% not. Don't expect it.

No- they kind of deflated the excitement for me. Then nothing at comic con. Then Target spoils it. And now the individual discs are revealed on a different website.

Criterion played themselves.

What do you mean individual discs were revealed? We have NO idea what is really coming in the Godzilla set. Those pics have been in existence for a long time via streaming platforms.

Did they say it was a Criterion Godzilla box set? I saw they posted a Godzilla box set but didn’t see anything on it that said it was from Criterion....

There's no name yet, but signs point to it obviously being from them because they own the rights to all included movies.
