I think I watched it on the Criterion Channel. So, there is that to make this less a derailing of the thread. Thanks for any help

By the way, that is about the craziest music video I have ever seen....
Well, damn, I am jealous of that deal haha. But my day will come!

That video came out when I was a teenager and my friends and I were obsessed with it. I kept showing it to people for years after and they all thought it was weird but awesome haha. The Polyester connection just makes it better.

Miike cooking lunch at Criterion's office (Imagine he is just doing some publicity/interviews in New York, but it is a fun picture.)

This almost certainly means Criterion got it back, and will likely be releasing it in 2020, possibly as part of a Fellini box set.
Nights of Cabiria is my favorite Fellini film too, so here's hoping Criterion will give us a new release of it sooner rather than later.

Yeah, it's a great film -- which I hate to admit, I only saw for the first time relatively recently. But my favorite Fellini film will always be La Dolce Vita.

I see that Bresson's The Trial of Joan of Arc got a BluRay release in France which came out today.

When I watched this about 4-5 years ago I really loved it. Wonder if Criterion would release it in the US?

Criterion does seem to have the rights to Bresson's The Trial of Joan of Arc

I would love to see Miike run amok in the Criterion closet. Powers that be...please make this happen.

Cry about it, Pagliacci. I've at least mastered posting etiquette 101, the tenets of which obviously elude you despite a 7-year tenure at this website.

It's either obtuseness or abject laziness that you refuse to perform a simple courtesy to the board, which is it?

Nah, wrong on all accounts. I simply do it to get a rise out of you, so the boards can continue to see the hostility of your posts and your nature. It's obvious that etiquette eludes you, as you simply don't know how to ask something of someone nicely. Try it sometime, and you probably will get better reactions than your usual aggressive posts.

Yeah, piss off the rest of the board by refusing to conform to accepted board protocol only so you can continually be called out on it

After 7 years of (mind-numbing) posting at this website, you're well aware that quoting posts with images while not using the spoiler tag function is a dick move. You shouldn't have to be "asked nicely", cut it out already.

You should also be aware that it was a picture of Takashi Miike. The more pictures of Takashi Miike on this board the better as he's a true talent in his field.

In all seriousness, I'm not sure if you know how to deal with people. You're constantly antagonizing members to the point where someone once told me to report you via a PM. (Which I didn't do) A kind word goes much further than berating people. You seem knowledgable enough to know that. So for the sake of myself and other members of the board, try being a bit more positive in your approach and I'm sure people might actually listen to you. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Great news if true. I'd love a Bresson boxset from Criterion. He only made 13 films (and a short film), and of those Criterion already has released 6 (4 on bluray & another 2 on dvd), so it'd be quite feasible.

The Trial of Joan of Arc would be a BRILLIANT release. I'm all for that, and I'm all for the more Bresson, the better. Yes, I'm all in favor of the weird, odd-ball releases. Bring it on! But we also need these classics, these tremendous pieces of cinema. And if there is a great, classic ...

It's on their Criterion Channel: https://www.criterionchannel.com/the...of-joan-of-arc

And the UC Berkley University Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) lists Janus/Criterion as the rights holder for the print they screened:
