The key phrase in the announcement is we expect. It's not guaranteed.

I had a feeling it would be some time before they shipped the cards out. Hopefully soon though.

Same here. Given previous delivering times I should have it by either Saturday or at the latest, Monday. Even cleaned out a spot of its own on the shelf for it last night.

Anyone in Canada receive their flash sale order yet? Ordered 8 titles that came to 30 dollars shipping via worldmail with no tracking number provided.

I personally had no idea about Unobstructed View... I just browsed through their website and the prices are basically the same as Criterion when factoring in the exchange rate. Unless they would offer free shipping (which I didn't see mentioned anywhere), there is no advantage :/

They had a flash sale the same time as Criterion US: 40% off + Free shipping.

Sorry about that. It was mentioned in the Canadian section of the deals sub-forum here. Hopefully they continue to have sales whenever Criterion does too. The next flash sale should be in February. I'll make sure to post any sales in this thread to let people know.

Not exactly Criterion related, but I highly recommend checking out Pedro Almodóvar's newest film Pain and Glory (2019) if it's playing near you. It's a really great movie, with an excellent performance from Antonio Banderas. It's one of Almodóvar's most personal films, and in a small way shares some similarities with Fellini's 8 1/2.
