Ha Ha yah i know, while i would still pose this question today, i probably wouldn't ask it on this site and i definitely know better then to use the phrase "full experience" when asking here lmao. End up with a 3 page lecture on OAR doing that. Poor OP noob didn't even know what he was getting into

so how about those non letterboxed movies guys.....

Man, that's kinda creepy. Makes me not want to post here out of fear of being guilty by association!

To the OP - one of the newest releases is District 9. It's 1.85:1, but it looks fabulous.

That guys just a noob that doesn't understand OAR, directors intent, etc... don't even talk to him, he should just go back to vhs and enjoy his fullscreen movies.

Oh and he said District 9 looks great.

The Hurt Locker is also 1.78 or 1.85:1. Can't remember which ratio.

I have a 16:9 tv and have a dark wall behind it and low light makes the issue easier to live with.

I wouldn't consider TDK or T2 in the 16:9 category because they only have a few scenes involving 16:9 fullscreen.

District 9 fills the entire screen and looks absolutely terrific. I was pretty surprised by its picture quality.
