Just in case you guys were curious.

Yeah, they're a little blurry. No, I don't really care.. just wanted to give you guys an idea of what to expect.

No BB exclusive slipcover? Want to see how it looks like before actually getting it. It still doesn't appeal to me with the BB picture ad, it looks funky and thick. I don't even think it'll have anything on the spine (film title, Blu-ray logo, etc.)

It's not an actual slipcover. It's a mini vest that wraps around the packaging, held together by velcro. And no, you wont be able to see most of the spine.

It's Sony, so it's extremely likely.

Awww so there is really nothing encrypted on the spine of the mini vest. That blows big time!!! Basically it'll look like crap on any shelf. As you can't really see what title it is since that mini vest thingy gets to cover the original BD spine. If they had the Blu logo, the SPHE logo and the films title engraved onto the velvet it'll definitely look much classier and neater.

I think it comes down to personal preference, i.e. I would prefer the mini vest not to have any of that information along the spine. I just need to figure out where it goes on my shelf, i.e. with the other regular/standard Blu-ray releases, or with the other special/limited editions.....

I much prefer the information along the original BD spine to easily identify it amongst 300+ Blu-ray titles I own.

Actually the copy that I have has subtitles for aliens conversations.. And it's not upscaled for sure.. I know what an upscaled rip looks like.. I can actually post the 720p screen shots from another copy which my friend has.. Unfortunately I had to delete the 1080p as it was taking space.. Apart from the high details most of the HDs have grain on them..

Well talk aside.. I'll post the screen shots.. You figure out whether it's an HD or not..!!

I think it would be even easier to identify among your 300+ movies........its the one wearing the black bullet proof vest.

I got mine earlier today, I'll probably watch it tomorrow. On a side note, I think this is one of the first Sony BD's I've seen with a slipcover.
