+1, definitely a great moment. Saw this twice in theater (got to see an early sneak preview and took the wife later that same weekend). Definitely one of my favorite moments from my #1 film of the year! Watched the blu ray twice already. The PQ and AQ are absolutely top notch!

I hope more flicks have gravity guns too. Gotta love seeing random objects being used as ammo (especially pigs). We owe a great debt to Half-Life 2!!!!!

Actually, I would sh#t a brick if Neil Blomkamp made a Half-Life movie! He'd be perfect, WETA would be perfect, and I think his visual style suits Half-Life more than it would have suited Halo.

Yes, sure they could, but it was not said. Since the movie is sci-fi, anything goes that we can imagine. So we are left to wonder how they could make such a journey in only 3 years. Warp drives would have to warp space-time to create a gravity well. The question still remains. Can warping space-time occur faster than the speed of light. I don't think so.

Someday humans may develop warp drive capability allowing them to achieve perhaps 99% the speed of light. Our ultimate survival might depend on finding a suitable planet in another nearby solar system to colonize long before our sun has fused most of it's hydrogen into helium. The sun will first collapse and later expand into a red giant after generating enough heat under gravitational collapse to start fusing helium.

I searched this forum, but didn't see anything, so... did anyone else's moon preview look totally screwed up? Mine was window-boxed, but squeezed at the same time, not in HD... looked terrible.

However, District 9 itself... awesome!

Maybe I misread the sticker pertaining to the God of War 3 demo, but I thought it mentioned a making of feature for the game also included. Or was the making of featurette just regarding the movie? Anyway, great movie with even better PQ/AQ.

I've read that after you complete the demo the video opens up.

Same here. Did anyone try watching it from the previews section of the extra content?

Wonder if it's any different from the preview that's at the beginning.

Very good release. I saw it last night and I enjoyed it more than in my first viewing. Great picture and audio quality.

The "Making-Of featurette video of God Of War III" begins immediately once you complete the demo.

I bought District 9 blind seeing how its @ #97 in the IMDBs top movies.
I watched about an hour of it and turned it off , at what point does this movie get better? Or did I just make another bad blind buy? I will make myself watch it in its entirety at least once before it goes to Ebay. Help me out here guys. BTW Merry Christmas.

I just watched this film last night for the first time and I was amazed at how much I liked it. It started off slow, but by the end, I was engrossed in the story and the characters. Definitely a good blind buy IMO.

Why ebay it....sell it here and I am sure some of us (myself included) would be more than happy to take it off your hands!

Some movies simply aren't for everybody. Take Paranormal Activity, for example. I absolutely adored it because it was genuinely frightening and I loved the characters, but a good friend of mine whose cinematic tastes I very much respect couldn't stand it. This movie is the same way. You really have to buy into the characters, and if you can't, then I don't see how you can enjoy it.
