Watched it on my 3600 a few nights ago and it played just fine. By the way this was my #1 pleasant surprise of the year. I thought this movie was great and I am glad I did a blind buy with this one.

Saw this one on vacation in the theater and knew right away that I'd be getting a blu-ray of it. A little bit disappointed with my player right now, though...

have you updated your firmware to version 2.5 from oct. Sometimes the newer discs wont play due to java issues that are usually fixed in firmware updates. good luck.

Mine took a while to move after the human/alien thing. I thought mine froze up as well and had already begun my rant about upgrading the player. It eventually went but it wasn't ten minutes.

What does the Human/Alien choice do when loading District 9?

Also if anyone knows I have never figured out what the sound icon toggle is for on all Sony Blu-rays. Does anyone what thing does?

the little speaker button will mute the menu, as the the human or prawn choice, I don't know, I picked human last night, all I can assume is that it's a different menu screen.

It just brings up different menu screens. Nothing great, but something nonetheless.

I was all about blind buying this movie, then I hesitated and redboxed it first and I'm glad I did. I really just did not care for it much, and I really wanted to. Oh well, I did like the little alien kid though lol.

Im getting nervous now, I blind bought this after hearing rave reviews, but now I'm hearing people say they didn't like it, including 3 of my friends...

Guess I will see when it comes in
