It's interesting that the language was what you pulled out of this movie. For me it was more violent than I expected. I liked it, but it was a little more than I was ready for.

I agree the level of violence in this movie was much higher than I had expected also, but for me it was over-use of the F-bombs that caught my attention mainly because for the most part it just seemed like they were used just because they could.

Just watched District 9 for the first time on Sunday night. I bought the Best Buy version with the MNU vest. What a great movie!!! My best blind buy to date.

lol. I think his antics added meat to the perdicament he was in....they enabled me to chuckle while being grossed out at the same time.

Watched this movie twice yesterday :-) Didn't enjoy it much the first time...thought the beginning of the film was slow (not really into the interview type thing). So I thought I'd watch it again with the commentary track and that IQ thing on. That was WAY more entertaining than the first run through. If you guys haven't listened/watched the movie with the commentary on I highly suggest it :-)

Just got this BD with my birthday money and was very happy about it i started with the GOW demo which blew me away was happy with purchase just on that but then i finally sat down and watched D9 damn what a crazy flic i wanted to see this when i first heard about it but never could(kids) but seeing it on blu was fantastic great PQ and great AQ fascinating story very much a social commentary along with the action element put a very well done film little gross at parts but help add to the mood honestly felt bad for the prawns at least Chris and his son really hope they make D10 want to see if Chris keeps his word neway just wanted to post and say how much i enjoyed the film

How are people finding the AQ on this disc? I saw it in the theatre and when

, the bass was INSANE. It was like my insides turned to soup...
I watched this last night, but with a new baby in the house I had to use headphones. I'm hoping the bass in those scenes is as amazing as it was in the theatre when I use this disc as a demo in the future!

Of course my sub probably won't do it justice - but it should be fun nonetheless...

this is absolutely one of my favorite blu rays the movie is easily one of my favorites, the clarity is awesome and the special effects are so good they can easily be under appreciated

Yeah..amazing special FX. Even moreso when the limited budget is brought into consideration.

Agree with most others here about the blu ray itself..tremendous A/V quality and an interesting, thought provoking story to boot.

GREAT blu ray!!!!

The use of different style cameras, especially towards the beginning of the film, really stand out on this blu ray.

A truly superb release. The audio is ASTOUNDING!
