Best film of 2009 in my opinion and yes I felt it was better than The Hurt Locker.

District 9 to me is way better than Hurt Locker.
In fact it is on StarzHD right now and after watching 20 minutes had to turn it because I plan on watching it on BluRay real soon again.

Since it was filmed using the Red One camera system everything looks about perfect with this transfer, including the absence of grain for you younger grain haters.

Didnt like Batserds and The Hurt Locker, but District 9 was pretty good.

I liked all three of 'em, but D9 was by far the best of the three.

Would you be interested in selling your D9 w/vest? Or... do you know of anyone who has an extra D9+V and is willing to sell???

Thanks...

John

Anyone hear about the sequel, "District 10" thought it was supposed to be out in 2012 along with Star Trek 2 and Terminator.

A sequel sure would be nice. If there is one I hope that Blomkamp heads it up again.

I think he was mentioned as one of the candidates for THE HOBBIT movies. Though I would rather have Peter Jackson himself do that.

I'm just hoping HALO would be back on track and they would call him back to helm it.

I have ALIVE IN JOBURG, anyone know where I can find TEMPBOT? I've seen that short, it has more heart than the Star Wars prequels (which I still love anyway) I'd like to see it again.

I agree. I think if someone needed an advertisement for CGI - Avatar would be it. Lots of "eye candY". That's about it.
