2K or not, it desperately needs a HDR master because a LOT of shots become dangerously close to being washed out. It was not as bad theatrically.

Given how we're constantly the poor relations when it comes to new tech, if it comes out before the summer I will be absolutely amazed.

Agreed, the movie didn't look as spectacularly ugly in the cinema as it does on Blu, so it'll be interesting to see how these movies which look ultra-contrasty on Blu fare in HDR. It'll be a turn-up if the supposed "ultra bright/ultra black" HDR rendition actually ends up being comparatively LESS contrasty because of the expanded dynamic range revealing mid-tones which were gobbled up in the SDR 709 iteration.

Very good point about the bundling though, we British-land people MIGHT get a 'soft' launch in the spring with a few bundle offers with the hardware (then there will be no way of avoiding Smurfs 2 or Fantastic Four ) from Sony, Samsung and Panasonic and then a full-blown standalone launch for the summer with a slew of titles.

If its true that Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice will have a 400 million dollar budget it damn well better have a 4k DI. It would be truly maddening if 400 million dollars is not enough money for a 4k DI

Most in comic book, I never see before batman vs superman like as holy grail for 4K DI.

Superman and Batman are popular in comic book. I can't wait to see movie Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice.
