For those Planet Earth 2 deeper thinkers realizing that the well promoted iPlayer content has been graded for HLG with the signalling compliant to the latest release of TS 101 154 (the DVB standards for AV linked in the HDR discussion thread - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...b#post12906036)

and those wondering about the possibility of PQ -> HLG conversions in the future...rather than content creators having to start from scratch and needing to regrade from the raw source all over again, one can convert PQ -> HLG rather easily with a simple LUT. Vice versa is more complex.

Best for HDR since 2010 - YouTube

often seen in Dolby demos or by bloggers using the frame grab. Googling will be of doubtful help.
FYI – the flying aircraft sequence ^ was shot with 24-290 mm glass, like that used for the long lens shots in Lucy

Still nobody yet figure out who the master cinematographer was that shot the ^ sequence. Geez guys, I’m not asking something difficult like describing Lucy’s brain.

$30. to the winner.

For the record, if puddy hadn’t figured it out, my next hint would have been Planes, Motorbikes and Automobiles, anyone? (https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...o#post12900836

... and how nice of Sony to (supposedly) once again offer 4K and 3D disc in the same packaging.

Shame other studios can't take the hint...

Just saw this: Five Camera Makers Cited for Sci-Tech Academy Awards

They're giving awards to digital camera companies for ushering in the age of digital filmmaking; Grass Valley (Thomson), Arri, Red, Sony, and Panavision.

^ 6K is so yesterday, here comes 8K from Dell (and I disagree with Derek, given what you get, I think under $5,000 actually is cheap, or at least a reasonable price )…..

Peter ^, if you’re not into concept art and passed on that event, you may prefer this more audio oriented get together planned for tomorrow (just a little over a mile from Company 3)….https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sound-f...aff=erelexpmlt

Sometimes (esp. with 2D only productions), the theatrical trailer format can provide a hint as to things to come….. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...t#post12924987
