(This is partially the same question as elwaylite asked, with some more details in case Penton hasn't seen the story.)

Penton, on Saturday there came news (first covered in this thread: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=33940 ) that Circuit City stores around the country are tagging the current HD DVD players as clearance items, knocking the A3 down to $100 and the A30 down to $150.

This follows a story posted on Thursday that claimed Circuit City was planning to drop HD DVD and would clearance out the players ( http://www.1080living.com/modules.ph...article&sid=17 ).

The HD DVD crew is claiming this is simply to move the players out so new players can come in bundled with Bourne instead of 300.

Penton, you told us we'd start seeing some retailer moves to go Blu. Is this one of them? Is Circuit City dropping HD DVD?
