Sorry, for the confusion. I think you’re thinking of the Sushi Roku in the City of Santa Monica. I’m referring to the Sushi Roku in Hollywood. I guess I shouldn’t have said 3rd and Santa Monica but rather 3rd and La Cienega………. maybe that threw you.
Use the valet parking.

Ohhhhhh. thanks.

The difference is quite obvious.
You might want to use this quote from Amir (from an interview on highdefdigest about a year ago) if anybody tells you that upconverting is good enough:

But give them ten HD movies to watch, then give them a standard-def DVD afterward, and they'll think their picture is suddenly out of focus!
Pretty interesting in light of Toshiba's new "focus".

Another line from him in there I thought was interesting was:

Here's a quick question not involving the fromat war but it will settle an argument between friends...

When a major brand or even a minor brand, is featured in a movie, does the brand pay for their presence in the movie or does the movie pay for the right to use the brand...

Ex. Applebees in Talladega nights or Ford in Casino royale...

Brand pays

It used to be that the movie would pay. If you listen to the SUperman commentary Richard Donner talks about how he had to fight to get Cheerios on the Kent breakfast table

Bryan Singer knew that this was important, which is why in the deleted scenes you see him eating Cheerios in Returns.

There are occasions where the brand is approached and will not pay (and the studio won't let them use it unless it's paid for). Good example being Volkswagon in that robot movie last summer

That's not really correct with Volkswagon. For years HASBRO has been trying to volkswagon to let them use their vehicles as transformers, but the response has always been no from them because they don't want their vehichles associated with big giant killing machines. Hasbro has commented on this multiple times at their yearly BOTCON fan convention.

A better example that I think is easy to find are in TV shows, such as Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Usually families are seen watching video on a macbook, but there's always tape placed over the Apple logo.

As Rob Tomlin knows and I believe has stated in the past….I keep my promises.
Your official Blu-ray jacket is in da mail.

Now work it……and make us all proud, as I imagine we’re the only internet site devoted to high-def optical discs that has its own member model (you), its own member mascot (a coyote) and some of the greatest members, moderators and insiders around.

I think you're about to end up in a circular conversation with this supposed "Insider" over there, which is never a good sign. Any time I get to that spot on a tech support call, I usually have to drop it and try again with someone else.

Ex:

Quote:
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.

Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?

Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.
And how somebody who's just a retailer qualifies as an "HD/BD Insider" is sort of beyond me, but that's another discussion.

They've been deleting posts in that thread faster than a teenager sprouts zits.

If you have been hitting refresh fast (or get emails about new messages) you could have seen one poor soul asking a question about that same Insiders credentials before it got whacked, along with a ton of other stuff.

And now the thread is locked.

Pathetic really. Sorry you've had to waste your time over there Penton.
