As long as you guys don’t start posting about when your particular Blu-ray title of current interest has shipped, where exactly it be located in the shipping world of UPS, USPS, or whatever postal service is being used, and when you receive it in your mailbox…...I’m good.

PS. Truth is popularity can be its own reason. All my computers (desktops/laptops) are Windows based but it is nopt because I am in love wiith that OS. Why did I go with Windows? because some of the tools I need for work (and others I want for fun) are only available for windows. And why are they on Windows? because the companies making that SW decided to use the most popular platform because that way they can sell more copies. |

A little bit, yeah. I already went to the trouble of asking you to verify your outrageous statement so as to avoid exactly what's happening here. Meanwhile, you seem unwilling to lift a finger to support your own claims with evidence when others challenge them. So, scroll back a couple pages and read your own words yourself. You can read them from the first time you said them or the second- take your pick.

I said "everyone is doing it", keeping with the theme of fashion or what's in at the the time. I have no idea the exact numbers of home media collectors vs. renters, neither do you I'm sure....that wasn't the point. Are you with me so far? I can't type much slower for you. Have you ever heard of a "Syencdoche"? When something as 2 meanings: a literal meaning(like Anthony) and an implied meaning(like everyone else in the world) Example: ■Everyone is doing it. ■Literal meaning: All people are doing it. ■Intended meaning: A large group people I know are doing it. ■The term for the whole, Everyone, is actually referring to certain part of itself, a large group of people. I know it's difficult for you, but in order to keep up in the grown up conversations, sometimes you have to read between the lines. Which is something you have proven, numerous times, you're unable/unwilling to do. Are we clear now...everyone is doing it! My goodness, man...stop taking everything post so literal. This is what I was trying to explain to you in UV thread, but you fail to get it. I eagerly await you're total breakdown of this post, a worn out Anthony P debate tactic, that is 99% fluff. |

As you know, Arsenal have been blessed with some tremendous defenders through the years and they all had a tough, no compromise attitude. That is lacking at the moment. also, all the greats have a midfield general. Roy Keane for Man U and like you mentioned, Vierra for Arsenal. Very hard to find though, those types of players. They are very rare. However, i am very jealous that you guys have a player like Van Persie. I hope he stays with you though, just entertaining to watch from a neutrals point of view. My team were very unfortunate to not come away with all three points against the mags (Newcastle) yesterday. A typical lucky goal deep into injury time against ten men. I’m lucky if I can write or type over 20 words when I’m tired and sick. You are a true journalist. ‘Jewiest’ aside, that is quite an endorsement, “GOON is not only by far the best hockey movie since SLAPSHOT”. I wonder if there are any old school hockey fans here who ever watched arguably the quintessential ‘GOON’ of all time -….http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldie_Goldthorpe ‘play’ the game. My cousin, who was born and bred in Syracuse told me that watching a few games in which “Goldie” ‘played’ was something he has never forgotten since….and that comes from someone who went on to become a grizzled homicide detective in a major metropolitan city in the N.E. and apparently, on the other hand, has forgotten about some of his old cases over the course of time but not Goldthorpe on the ice. ![]() |

Been and Back. It was a short business trip and I tacked on a visit to relatives while up there. In no particular order, my three most favorite cities in all of North America are S.F., San Diego, and Vancouver. If my wife and I had to choose one, it would probably be San Francisco.

With the recent release of the Hugo 3D Blu-ray, I’ve received a couple PMs as to whether it is a good idea to calibrate your 3D display, who I could personally recommend, etc. This is not necessarily in reference to trying to correct any display dependent crosstalk, which is inherent in a 3D television. Ghosting 101, and then some, all covered on this page….https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...ng#post5853238
I’m referring more to the brightness of the picture in the 3D mode and to the PM’ers, I’ve answered that before from over a year ago, see… https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...mi#post4203827 In essence, yes it’s a good idea to calibrate if you desire the most accurate 3D picture. Marty, Bob R. and the lesser known filmmakers on Hugo utilized regularly calibrated 46” 3D LCD HD monitors on-set to view their footage and of course all D.I. suites are carefully calibrated for dailies viewing as well as post. I don’t know if Jeff still does calibrations. |
