Is there a thread that shows new 4k disc announcements (not coming to theaters, but on disc for purchasing) ?

I see "wish lists, the DV one", this one, but not one about purchasing 4k for home.

I was kinda disappointed with the look of this one. The colors were nice in places but didn't pop as much as I was expecting, and it didn't really have much grain or a real shot on film look to it (compare to fellow A24 release Good Time, which is unmistakably filmic). It was an AMC, which I believe mostly use 4K projection, though aside from having IMAX screens, I've found AMC's presentation quality to be lacking often, so that could be part of it.

Speaking of other 4K releases, I'm expecting great things from Wonder Wheel next weekend (saw a tiny bit of it in a demo trailer at that theater and it looked great, plus while the movie was meh, was very impressed by Cafe Society's cinematography).

To help fund Blade Runner 2049 Sony Pictures contributed $90 million and is handling international distribution. SP will get a cut of the movie’s profits and distribution fees. I still own some Sony stock, so please go out and see the flick and thus hopefully boost my financial portfolio.

No, I didn't see Billy Lynn at NYFF or anything related to it, and my brother and sister saw it at the encore NYFF showing where no one involved with the film showed up.

I did see the 4K/3D/120 fps version, but in its normal limited release.

Not sure if it will get a 4k DI/DCP, but the new horror film X-Men: The New Mutants is the 2nd film I'm aware of to be captured at 8k. This time using the Panavision Millennium DXL (which I believe is a first for a feature film).

I'd say Wonder Wheel is perhaps a hair less impressive than Cafe Society visually, just because a lot of significant scenes are set in a run down apartment (some of these scenes felt more suited for the stage than a film). But when it goes outside to the boardwalk sets and some other areas, the visuals and colors really pop, and as a full 4K film, there is a ton of image detail.

I'd probably compare it to Irrational Man of his recent output, definitely more of a drama dealing with its characters morality, and a minor Woody Allen work, though not one of his low points (I hated Whatever Works for instance), and worth checking out. Obviously nice also cause NYFF naturally has atop notch presentation, including properly masking for 2:1 ratio which I doubt many theaters will (also saw them properly mask for cinemascope 2.55 in a retrospective film this festival), and it's probably Allen's most technically modern movie, with a far amount of surround sound effects used, as well as plenty of CGI set extensions.
