Coming to Blu-ray in December?
Yes, 12/6. Looking forward to seeing it!

I will forgive them! I would happily watch both movies again, no problem!
Same applies for De Niro. I will forgive him also!

Thanks for the link, Penton. The fact that such a respected Director as Marty S is having loads of fun and challenges filming Hugo in 3D is worth dozens of king tiger tanks during such trench warfare encounters.

If this is indeed the full interview, his comment should be somewhere in this video clip after the preliminary speaker(s), when he takes the stage for the Q & A…if memory serves.
Thanks again for this link.

Listening to George Lucas during that interview you can't help but give thought and thanks to yesterday's creative pioneers ... and what they may have had to struggle with going against the establishment in their day.

Sometimes I think color grading is the worst thing to happen to cinema. So many movies are that teal green/blue and gold yellow.

Well, if you read the top review, it does seem like many of you Torontonians enjoyed it.

Sometimes I think air conditioning is the worst thing to happen to indoor climate control. As when I visit some peoples’ homes, they have the temperature way too cold for my taste. I think they should bring back fans, esp. to the workplace…..just more natural.

Several months back, I previously posted a possible solution to your dilemma as perhaps a quick way to enable one to visually examine the content quickly and thusly avoid those films in which the color grade (by whatever means) might prove *annoying*, see...

Thanks again for this link....
Well, at the DGA screening, your bud, Jim Cameron claimed that Hugo is the best 3D film to date , so I guess he included his own film AVATAR, in that consideration, which says a lot if you’re a disciple of J.C. At one of the screenings, I would have liked to have heard Bob Richardson’s (the D.P.) perspective on the specific 3D techniques utilized but, he mostly deferred (I think out of respect) to Marty S., who spoke in general terms about 3D.

If I manage the time next week, I’ll get into the z space, and how the filmmakers used it, for folks to get a sense of what to expect if they catch the upcoming theatrical wide release. I hoping sharkshark, esp. may like *the look*. Again, the aesthetics of 3D are largely a matter of audience taste.

Default Anatomy of a Murder!

Penton! With Criterion's announcement of Anatomy of a Murder, and Twilight Time releasing classic films from Sony as well, is it safe to say that Sony is done with Classics altogether? I'm not going for "Doom and Gloom" here but I thought surely Sony would release Anatomy. Either way this is great news and I can finally mark a Jimmy Stewart Columbia classic off my wishlist.

Moi aussi.

I especially like this clip because it ties the whole story together -

P.S. Except that since the ET airing ^ , the original Sgt. Scott Moore YouTube clip is now closing in on the 4 million viewer mark!
