So, in short, if I get the Spanish or Italian boxset, all I'd be missing is the trailers and the short version of the Rocky vs Drago documentary.

Not much, really. The doc is for free and complete on Youtube and so are the trailers..

Can anyone who has the ''fixed'' discs check Rocky III, specially the Castillian Spanish track, to see if it has the pitch issue? It's unfortunate that is the only one and since it's a dub, I'm afraid it might have not been fixed. To notice, just simply swap the Castillian Spanish and English real quick.

Rocky II was different and should have been fixed because the pitch issue was present in all audio minus the Japanese. Hopefully.

Just toggled through every audio track on the new Rocky III disc. They’re all at the same, correct pitch now - including both Spanish tracks. I should add that I am doing this with a physical copy of the new disc in my own player (just for those in the back who think this info might be somehow “misleading” if I don’t personally have the disc in-hand — it’s in hand, lol).

I'm guessing they are trying to squeeze any last minute sales of 1-4 before they announce to reduce dead stock they have to sell really low or dispose of.

I’m seeing that the replacements I got (that were in loose sleeves/not a full knockout set) have the same serial numbers on the discs… haven’t had the opportunity to watch any of them.

Do the updated discs bare the same numbers as the old discs????

Yep, they’re identical. Nothing to differentiate them unfortunately. Once I get my new box, I’ll be reverifying that it has the new discs and not the old ones. You never know with Warner.

Very glad to hear they fixed *ALL* of the audios instead of just English. I'm eager to get the boxset, I hope I can get it at some point.

Mine came today in a small box with a letter stating here are my replacement disc and the 4 disc in white sleeves. I also only purchased Rocky IV on steelbook not the set yet they sent me all 4. I didn't have to send anything back even though they asked for it. What I did do though was send numerous follow up emails from my original email back in April.

Regarding German audio: 2&3 are fixed, 1&4 still have wrong pitch. And it is still unclear if 5&6 will have German audio on the upcoming products. Packshots so far indicate no German audio. So not all audios have been fixed.

On the one hand, I guess it's good that the studio seemed to have specifically listened to their customers' concerns. But on the other... do we have to point out every single error to them in order for them to fix it?

First four will be fixed but the last two will be screwed up for consistency.
