What is that thing in the middle? Does it regulate water pressure?

If the two female threaded ends are HOSE fittings, you need a 3/4" hose thread double male connector. Don't get NPT threaded ends, those look like HOSE threads (hose threads not the same as typical pipe threads.)

Coffee and breakfast (eggs, bacon,and a short-stack of pancakes) while I fight with the kid to do her schoolwork. This remote learning is BS. Think I'm going to try enrolling her in a neighboring school district that is still doing in-school learning, only downside is I will have to drive her to/from the school everyday.
