No I don't lend my blus out to friends, esp. not after I let one burrow Band of Brothers and they just threw it in the back of their truck and threw their golf clubs on the beautiful case. Scratched and dented the whole thing up and made me really pissed.

too many times i loaned a movie/game to a friend just to get it back all scratched.

I only have two friends that I loan too. They have the same respect for my blus as they do their own.

I honestly can't think of anyone that I know who has a blu player.

So, I guess I don't loan them to anyone :P

Yeah I have 3 friends that are into blu and we all swap with each other constantly. Ive got probably like 10 out right now spread between the 3 of them, and I have some of theirs. Works out fine for me. Along with netflix it keeps me from wasting money on movies that I dont love, so I only end up buying my absolute fav's.

Only person I know that has a blu-ray player is my mother-in-law, and for the most part she is pretty good with the loaners, however I do find some finger prints on the odd disc and it angers me to no end, however it's now family so I just stew and vent to my wife and she "reminds" her every once in a while. DVD's I will more readily lend out but have had a few come back all scratched up and stuff, again to family and after returning them like that they lose their privileges.

My sister and brother-in-law finally got an HDTV and blu-ray player and now they borrow movies on occasion, but they're always good about getting them back to me. The flip side is that I sometimes borrow blus from them as well.

I have a strict don't lend/don't borrow policy.

I only let my father-in-law borrow blus from me. He respects the idea of the term borrow, and doesn't treat the blus like frisbees or the cases like cheap paperback novels. Everyone else who wants to borrow from me, I tell them to rent it.
