Twice as bright as the G4 but probably still crushing blacks with poor near black performance just like the G4 and all other LG OLEDS.

Thank God we're getting closer and closer to Microled.

Wonder if LG will repeat for best TVs of 2025? G5 looks even better than the G4.

I guess you have to upgrade again (SMH). Just be smart like me and wait for Microled (The Grail), instead upgrading your OLED TV every year, spending thousands,,when OLED is on the precipice of being an outdated tech.

And the G4 picked as the king of 2024 TVs at the other UK shootout is hosted by a David Mackenzie want to be, Vincent is nothing more than a lowly TV reviewer and YouTube personality that isn’t smart enough to use his skills to move on from it and do something much better, who in comparison hires amateur people for judges to evaluate the TVs at his shootout. So what’s your point?

Not at all. Quantum and Fomo are worse than Vincent in my opinion and are nothing special just the same. They’re all just Youtube personalities and influencers trying to sell something and make money from us and the manufacturers with their videos. Every man and their dog posts amateur YouTube, TikTok etc videos nowadays, what they do is nothing to be proud of doing for a living. If they truly had a high level of skill they would use it to do something that is much more important that matters in the industry, such as developing TV tech, or something like David M does mastering/encoding/authoring high quality disc releases for consumers, or Stacey Spears and Don Munsil with their calibration disc products.

Hey I’ve got an idea, maybe Vincent should hire you, Jay Mammoth and Deadend45 to be judges at his TV shootout this year, because using amateurs members from forums isn’t much different from the judges he’s been using.

There was some definite forward movement on bringing microLED to the masses at affordable prices, though Samsung was curiously absent from that and didn't have anything to say on the matter, from what I gathered from the show videos and write-ups.

According to Vincent Teoh, reporting from the CES, Samsung will bring a Micro-led display to the market later this year, a 75 inch and I think a 85 set. It will be several years before they are affordable and all the bugs are worked out. The early adopters will drop OLED, and OLED prices will go down as the upper end of the market will choose Micro-LED.
