Binged all of season 1 in the past 24 hours. Can't wait for season 2 now! Excellent show.

[Show spoiler]Favorites ended up being Starlight and Hughie, but I was surprised by how much I ended up liking everyone by the end of the season. I expected the hero "villains" to be a bit flat and one note, but they fleshed them out and made them interesting. Homelander especially. Dudes awesome to watch. The Deep is just such a loser too I can't help but pity him even if he is a scumbag.

VERY excited for Shawn Ashmore in season 2.

Had it in my head that Season 2 was already out so I sat down and rewatched the final episode of Season 1. I planned to follow that up with a couple Season 2 episodes...oh well...at least I'll be ready to go once it hits.

They want the hype train to run per week and maybe get more subscribers prob.

I have a hunch they did the once per week scheduling because they are not done editing and polishing the entire season due to the pandemic. However, Amazon didn't want to delay any further.

[Show spoiler]Definitely see her being set up as Homelander's usurper.

I have a feeling it’s a combination. I think they originally were considering a drawn out weekly episode schedule to try and keep subscriptions active. Then the pandemic hit and they had no choice because editing and polishing was just going to take so much longer given the restrictive ability for multiple people working together.

Interesting. I will just wait until after October 9th to watch season 2. Not a fan of weekly episodes. However, I have so many shows in my queue that this new format doesn’t bother me that much. Honestly, I may forget to watch and season 3 will already be here lol.

I don’t think it has to do with post-production. Season 2 started filming before the first was released and finished before the end of 2019.

It looks like Amazon switched to three episode dumps.

This season isn't, so far, as good as the last one. I still believe the socio-political points they are trying to make could be said in a stronger manner without quite so much bloody/gory violence and bad language. It tends to be the mark of a lesser script to rely so heavily on swearing. Some constraints on a production can lead to cleverer dialog. Though, Seth Rogen has never been one to be subtle.

Homelander, for one, seemed more menacing and deranged in season 1 IMHO. Now, he's almost like a caricature. It's like they switched more of the psycho to StormFront.

I can kind of see why Starlight had moments of violent behavior and lapses in judgement. Compound V tends to make the superhuman creations somewhat emotionally unbalanced and potentially dangerous. Maeve seems to be the most guilt ridden of the bunch... the conscience of the Seven.

I thought Giancarlo Esposito was better portraying Gus Fring on BB and BCS.

LoL, looks like someone has never read a Garth Ennis book before. That dude loves swears, and its wouldn't be a ghost of an adaptation without the gore/blood and swearing

The first 3 episodes were amazing. I wish I could have binge watched all 8 episodes today, but I suppose having to wait weekly now will save me from myself lol.

Episode 3 was insane...

[Show spoiler]Stormfront is living up to her comic counterparts name. What an evil *****.

I hate waiting for weekly releases of the episodes. This isn't a piece of shit like The Mandalorian. Just release it all at once and let people decide on their viewing patterns.

Don't forget the aftershow, Prime Rewind: Inside 'The Boys'. Four half hour episodes are up, one for each S2 episode, and a season one recap.
