I love this show and this season has not disappointed at all.

Garth Ennis is one of my favorite comic book writers and watching this show depresses me even more thinking of what Preacher could have been if it was done right.

I watched the first 2 seasons and was debating on the third. I started watching Episode 1 and the dick explosion stuff was just disgusting and unnecessary. These type of superhero shows are just violent and sexual just to be edgy. I'm done.

I respect everyone who like and can handle these type of shows. It's just not for me any more.

I respect that, however I haven't seen anything else like this show out there. That doesn't say much though.

Comics for adult audiences exist. Comics deconstructing comics exist. These characters and stories are not limited to young audiences. I love the mcu, The Boys and Invincible can coexist with the mcu, just like Vamperella exists on a shelf with Capn America.

Back in the comics code days, there was no sex, no violence, no drugs, no reality just good vs evil. I love the golden age, but modern times call for modern stories!

I'm not sure why "modern" needs to translate to disgustingly violent. But anyway, I may come back to this show in the future. It took me a while to appreciate the Deadpool movies too.

I do get it rik, just back in the 80s this kind of stuff would be put on a nasties list and banned instantly, and yet here we are now watching on demand. Its shockingly free, but the point of The Boys story is that if Superheroes are human, and with literal superpowers they could cause horrifiic damage and would be susceptible to corruption, world ending corruption. It not only titilates with gore and sex, its an interesting rumination on what a world with supes might be like, not the first to think this way but perhaps the most successful, perhaps due to its grim humor and over the topness...

But yeah, some people are sensitive to Deadpools 4th wall breaking and mayhem too, so I doubt you are alone, just putting it out there why Im enjoying the show, cheers

Season 2 was full of political garbage. This season 3 is the best yet, straight business, gore and laughs.

And those elements are still there. Stormfront is just not a major character in these 3 episodes. She still wants to create a master race with Homelander. There is a Stormchaser protest on the news.

tons of woke hipster political agenda statements were thrown in the mix throughout season 2. That's why people preferred season 1, now they're loving season 3 again.

I wasn't offended . I thought it was try hard cheesy and Homelander simping for Stormfronts crap, A lot of people didn't like it as much as season 1. Check the reviews and forums for the general consensus.
