Hey, tell the groundskeepers that wasn’t any social match for me.
I was conducting business during that golfing swaray, so I was stressed!

The upside is that they probably won’t have to aerate a few of those fairways for several years, as I already accomplished that for ‘em.

Nice course. Penton...just replace your divots--or meteor impacts--depending on their depth!

a two wheeled one...

I always thought he had a "Great Escape" vibe during that ride along, given that it's a bike in a big field, but what do I know, I'm not a bike guy.

Meanwhile, any votes as to what good "Woodstock"-themed snacks might be? I thought of mudpies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mississippi_mud_pie) but that's hardly good snack food, more a fine dinner all to itself. And, sadly, giant tabs of brown acid are out of the question.

I guess as long as we have to wait a long time to eat, and I shower them with water and filth, we'll be keeping with the spirit (http://www.woodstock69.com/lawfoodline.htm)

Were you watching my man Harrington earlier??
He clawed a couple of shots back on Tiger, but lets be honest, Tiger tends not to lose when he has a lead going into the final round. Still, at least it should be competitive tomorrow.

P.S. Did you catch the Arsenal score today?

Nope (I recorded it for viewing on Sunday) but, I'm encouraged given the defense of Everton.

Not to be a wet-blanket, Penton, but I'm pretty sure the rider is not included.

My raving about the Woodstock screening, and my continued ambivalence about the release given the fact that we're left with an incomplete set compared to the European release.

Well, finally going through my disc, had a few friends over to screen it on the annivesary. On my 60" Kuro it looked pretty damn fab, certainly miles better than the last DVD version. And I second the fact that the extra footage (particularly the Who stuff) was a revelation, literally! The footage in full frame 4:3 from original elements (using different angles than the theatrical version) look freakin' SPECTACULAR. Man, if Monterey Pop on Blu is gonna look half this good, I'm doomed to upgrade my DVD version... *sigh*

Plus, (*spoiler*, of sorts), a MAJOR addition for any Who nut on the extra tracks... You see the guitar smashy-smashy in context with the My Generation encore track with some weird additions... First of all, Townshend looks like he crapped his pants (it's actually blood, as you see him wiping off his hand behind his legs, after opening up a major gash during one of the windmills.

Finally (as this for me was a big one), you actually see, after the set, a reversal where the roadie/guitar tech goes into the audience and demands the Gibson SG from the crowd! Everytime I've watched the film I think of that guitar, and what some poor bastard must have done to hold onto that thing through the rest of the show.... Now I don't have to wonder!

I type as I'm making my way through yet another wank fest by the Dead (37 minute track!)... Rediculous, give me the entire Tommy suite instead, bastards.

It's astonishing what we're still missing, like, I dunno, bloody tracks from the Band for one! I guess we wait another 10-60 years 'till they just give us everything as part of the cloud... sigh.

So, given how damn, damn good the Who stuff looks, I'm kinda really wanting the Sparks performance. Can anybody let me know how it looks, and how much I should really fight to get 5 minutes of Who footage? Anybody with the Target version that doesn't want their bonus disc?

I was. It never clicked that after Stoners announcement that Ducati was worried about his return. It makes sense though, since his status is so vague.

This one of the sillier silly seasons.

Even if they weren't worried, Stoner's only one seat. Everyone else they've got can't make the sucker go. Even at a massive expenditure, I think they'd rather roll the dice on developing around Lorenzo than try to push Hayden along for one more year.

Got a linky on that one?

Anybody that'd wow me or just a Brad Pitt or something?

In (very) vaguely related info, the latest issue of Metropolitan Home (don't ask) has a feature on Robert Richardson's house. If you're anything like me, one glimpse at the shot of his dining room will have you ROTFLOL and shouting, "Of course!"
