Yeah I think the only gritty/really adult show I get my Mom to watch is Dexter. There could be others but she's not much into shows like Breaking Bad or Weeds or anything remotely about drugs as a main focus even though Breaking Bad is so much more.

It's called a bottle episode, when shows need to make up or plan ahead for budget reasons they do self contained episodes that are very cheap to make. That episode got a lot of hate, but I enjoyed it.

I can't understand why anyone wouldn't enjoy that episode. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul gave some of their best work (which is saying a lot). One of the highlights of the season for me (which is also saying a lot).

BTW: I know this qualifies me as a complete and utter tool, but I JUST made the connection that "Gale" in Breaking Bad is the same actor (David Constabile) that plays the evil cop in Damages that killed Ellen's boyfriend.

Hehe he's a versatile actor. He was fun in Flight of the Conchords as well. I'd like to see him land a regular role somewhere.

It will probably come out a week before Season 4 like all shows do.

I know I've asked this before but don't remember getting an answer. Why was there such a massive delay between last season and this one?

The last one went from March - June, and doesn't come back until July 2011? Filming didn't begin on this season til January of this year.

Just wondering who was the genius that decided to put that big of a break between seasons.

I remember In Plain Sight got cut short last year because one of the creators or producers had a personal family issue, so it was cut short a few eps. But I haven't heard anything on why the long break.

Season 1 ended in March of 2008
Season 2 Began in March 0f 2009 and Ended in May of 2009
Season 3 Began in March of 2010 and Ended in June of 2010
Season 4 Begins in July of 2011

I read that it was AMC that decided to air it in July to try and attract as much viewers as possible.

I don't really understand that either, cable shows don't live and breathe based on ratings and this show is very very well advertised and widely known already, it just seems strange to do in season 4.

Yeah I also found it weird they would do that as like you said ratings don't count for everything on cable and I thought BB was one of AMC's top shows already so they don't need it that extra push.
