On that, a bit disappointed when I loaded Netflix this morning to see 53 minutes, after all the fuss of extending, I was expecting a solid 60 minutes, you Yanks do like cluttering your TV shows with adverts.

In my mind I was hoping for 75 minute run time. They could stretch that to two hours with ads.

For the 100th or so time we see him with the chance to do what is best for his family as Saul suggests he turn himself in and end this misery for them so they can move on.

I don't doubt he truly loves his family and wanted to provide for them but it's all been about him and his pride since day 1. This guy was always sleeping behind the surface of this generic wimpy man. He has used his family as the excuse to do more horrible things to them and everyone around him than can ever be justified. Even "providing" for them now seems like it was more about him self serving some idea of what a man should do and his legacy. Sure he wants them to be safe and well off but every choice he has made has proven that his Empire and Legacy are what truly matter.

It all comes back to Grey Matters and how wounded his pride is for never getting his just due and i cannot wait to see how that piece of it plays out.
So if this was all about his empire and legacy,
[Show spoiler]how do you explain him walking away and turning it over to the Uncles of Anarchy when Skyler showed him how much money he had made? I think too many people forget that Walt was able to walk away from his Empire to be with his family. He was out and they were happy...until Hank's bowels got involved.

It would delay Low Winter Sun and Talking Bad too much. And yes, I agree with you, but there are some fans for LWS lol and It also deals with advertisers. They pay for their ads to air during different slots and stuff so they can't really change and extend things like that. Plus, who knows if Vince even wanted to write an additional 20+ minutes for that episode. It would be great to get more content from the show, but they are going out on top. I'm happy.

You know things could have gotten better for Walt had he just responded appropriately when questioned about Hank's death. Instead of just basically going silent about Hank's death and leading everyone to believe he did it all he had to say was "No guys, actually a bunch of white supremacist *******s murdered Hank and his partner and stole almost all my money and now I need to hunt them down and get revenge for Hank and reclaim the money." But nooooo.... Walt has to go on these long pauses and not explain things, as he has a bad habit of doing.

Plus the football game is 3 hours long and only has 11 minutes of actual playing time.

[Show spoiler]Of all the deaths in the show I think Andreas affected me the most. Just knowing Brock being left alone and the trauma on Jesses face was just too much for me.

Agreed,
[Show spoiler]that one hit me harder than Hank. Just knowing that she is leaving a young son behind and that he is most likely going to be the one to find her body.

[Show spoiler]Jesse losing his shit in the car made me so sad. Most heart wrenching moment of series for me. How much shit can they throw at him?

Great episode. Probably my favourite of this season (part 1 included). It didn't entirely feel like a breaking bad episode (in a good way!).

I think we're all wondering what Walt's gonna do, but i think in the end Jesse is gonna end up killing him (and possibly himself). But the dude needs to win SOMETHING!

Also the ending was incredible. The music! The ****ing music! Holy shit!!!! Reminded me of... Wire Spoilers!
[Show spoiler]The ending of the wire.... haha

[Show spoiler]Why she was a background character with very little to do with the over all show and her stupid kid is the reason most of this is going down. Since this is a tv show and not real life I had a satisfied smirk on my face when he pulled out the gun and shot her, watching Jesse squirm in agony is what I want to see. He brought all this onto himself and he is just as responsible for his own actions which led to this as Walt is. As has been said before if he doesn't throw that money out the window he is free right now along with Walt and Andrea is not dead (hank and gomez would be alive too) and stupid little Brock still has a mother (honestly he's some kid Jesse barely knew and was not worth throwing every thing away for regardless of what Walt did) If you believe walt is evil and deserves death then you should wish the same on Jesse, he murdered Gail who aside from cooking was an innocent non violent guy who didn't deserve what he got and thats worse than making a kid sick for a couple of days. Im starting to agree with uncle jack when it comes to jesse "does this little ***** cry through the entire thing?" so sick of his crying when he brought all this down on himself. Good going Jesse hope throwing out that money got you the results you were looking for.

The next to the last episode of Breaking Bad delivered new ratings highs with 6.6 million viewers and 4.3 million adults 18-49 (~3.4 A18-49 rating). That's up from last week's numbers (which set records at the time) of 6.4 million viewers and 4.1 million adults 18-49. Additionally, last night's episode drew 3.7 million adults 25-54.

Even with the Emmys, football and Dexter finale, BB still went up! I'm sure some people watched Emmys or football over BB, but I think for the most part everyone who wanted to watch the episode live did. Probably could have got somewhere in the 7 million range though. I'd like to see next weeks episode get to 8 million

Why don't you post a picture of you with your " satisfied smirk" so we see what you looked like when she got shot.... I'll bet it's very creepy.

Walt should have listened to Saul and gone to jail. Then he could have written his Heisenberg story into a tell-all novel. He'd get the credit/recognition he wants, finally get to tell his side of the story in detail, and had sales profits gone to his family as a legal source of income.

He's absolutely right. Jesse had millions and was set for life. Instead he goes off the reservation and turns rat. He's a somewhat likable character but he was always a druggie and a loser. He was always headed for a short, failed life.
