AMC has made it official:

Breaking Bad‘s home stretch has a premiere date, and is getting a talk show.

The final eight episodes of AMC’s acclaimed meth-drama will get underway starting Sunday, Aug. 11, the network announced at its upfront presentation to advertisers on Wednesday. The episodes technically represent the second half of the fifth season of the show.

AMC also announced its adding a post-episode chat show, Talking Bad. The network hopes to continue the success its had with its post-Walking Dead talk show, The Talking Dead.

Well, it's at least a month late than I expected. Oh well. I'm sure it will be worth the weight regardless.

And Talking Bad? At least Talking Dead was a pun!

I think personally the reason I dig the dude is that he is a geniune fan and shows geniune enthusiasm for the subject matter.

I got two of these Breaking Bad shirts. They were a limited edition, never printed again. I'm going to put it on eBay, but I figured I'd see if anyone here wants it first. They go for $25+ online, but I really don't want to deal with eBay so I was thinking $15 + shipping.

Univision has confirmed a new version of "Breaking Bad" for the Hispanic market in partnership with Sony.

“Metastasis” – Based on the critically acclaimed American series “Breaking Bad,” “Metastasis” is the story of a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling meth with a former student with the goal of securing his family’s financial future before he passes away. (Primetime – Sony)
