Oh, I understand her just fine. She has her reasons, but she isn't a very fun character. She's too much of a ***** too often.

I throughly enjoyed it,as you say,the episode was filled between the two characters and it was as entertaining from start to finish, great stuff.

Really?interesting, well it certainly worked,of course it wouldn't have had the same impact early on but as the show went on and we got to know and care for the two characters then it certainly worked for me.

An interesting thing that some one pointed out to me about the fly episode is it shows Walters attention to detail in his work, also resulting in him being more caring in not getting caught.

However, in one episode in the latest season he sees a fly in the work area of one of the houses being fumigated, but leave it. Representing his loosening of care due to him growing more confident in got getting caught and being the boss.

Yeah, it was a "bottle episode." They knew they used a lot of money in episodes earlier in the season and would need money for things later in the season, so they had to cut back.

For those that don't know:

In episodic television, the term bottle episode refers to an episode produced inexpensively and restricted in scope to use as few non-regular cast members, effects, and sets as possible.

I agree, along with Deb from Dexter. Both are hated and completely misunderstood characters. So I'm also one of the few that seem to like her.

I wouldn't even be able to watch a show if I hated any of the characters.

It seems like here most people enjoy the character though lol Everyone always says "everyone hates skylar" but then everyone ends up defending her

Well it's because she's always in the way. The entire show has he portrayed as an obstical or a thorn in Walt's side, he either has to manoeuvre around her or she actively tries to do something. She's only hated because we see the show by the side of Walt, when really, what is she supposed to do when she has a husband who's a drug lord.

hmm. I guess so. I think the fact people hate her means she is doing a good job. I guess some people are saying they hate the character and some are talking about the acting itself?

I wonder how the first episode back will do? Hopefully it can crack 3 million and continue the streak of rising every season premiere in which very few shows have ever done. I couldn't find/remember the exact pilot numbers.

Season 1 - 1.?? million viewers
Season 2 - 1.66
Season 3 - 1.95
Season 4 - 2.58
Season 5 - 2.93
Season 6 - ???? Hopefully like 3.25 or something

The Mad Men season premiere this year got 3.37 million.

Here maybe, but from what I've seen, more people hate her than like her in general.

Any time I've hated a character it's been a mix of the character and the acting. I couldn't stand Owen on Grey's Anatomy because he overacted and annoyed me, which made me not like him. Then they changed the character and toned everything down, now I have no issues with either. I really hated everything about Shane on The Walking Dead, the character, acting and the actor.

I found it really funny that people were hating on Skylar because then Anna Gunn was nominated for an Emmy lol So I think that's when people made it clear that they hated the character, not Anna's acting. I've never really seen a problem with it though. I think she is talented as an actress. I was just watching a replay of when she
[Show spoiler]goes to buy the car wash
and that scene was just awesome to me.

I burned (har har) through season 2 now I'm halfway through 3. I can't stop watching this and feel even more foolish for never viewing this show before.

I hope they kill Jesse off. His character is begging for a good death scene.

The guy who plays the lawyer is absolutely hilarious. The perfect scumbag.

Gustavo = p.i.m.p.

I'm in a similar boat,I have recently just picked this up and watched the first episode of season four this morning.
Saul Goodman is brilliant,I love the scenes he's in.

Really? The soul of the show? The episode with his parents in the first season was enough for me to understand his own self-destruction to understand him. Peekaboo was such a strong episode, one my personal favorites. And I was in agony for the guy after Jane's overdose. Walter and I share a name but Jesse's my addict avatar.

You see what seem to be Jesse's true colors/intentions whenever he lets his temper out, yet he's never gone through with any threats (besides starting his own 'thing'), so it's hard to pin if he's truly evil or not. He's a snake though. Responsible for Jane's death even though he "loved her". Don't get me wrong, I love the chemistry between he and Walt but there's zero pity from me. I'm at the part where he's starting to skim-off-the-top of the product in the new lab. The kid just can't stop making these boneheaded decisions.
