Breaking Bad went down half a point [demographic] because they’ve been phoning it in these past 2 episodes. Why make people wait a year for lackluster work. It reminds me of when Nip/Tuck ended all over again. I might not even wast my time with these next 5 episodes and wait until the last one just to see how it ends

You should watch the extended version of that scene (labeled the "Extra Icky Version") on the Blu-ray.

We might get a Saul Goodman spinoff:

I hate to use this phrase, but that is pure trolling. Comparing it to N/T is hilarious. The Breaking Bad finale could be a musical and it would still top anything Nip/Tuck ever did (especially the last 2-3 seasons). I love hearing hear how someone has invested 50+ hours into something and now they are ready to bow out with the finish line in sight.

Vince Gilligan has been talking about wanting to do a spinoff with Saul for a couple years, and in the last couple months he's been talking about really wanting to do it. I assume this means Saul is going to live through the end of the series, unless Gilligan has been lying this whole time to make us assume Saul won't die so his death would be a true shock.

Or it could be a prequel type thing. I think it would be interesting to see how he got where he is now.

He said multiple times that whether or not Saul has his own show does not mean he lives. The show will most likely be a prequel anyways even if he lives.

I'd rather a Mike spin-off than a saul one. I think that's a better storyline. They could go back to his cop days, and we could watch the transistion to the other side, and how he meets Gus, etc.. He's such a badass character so the possibilties are endless.

This.

I would love seeing more of Mike and eventually maybe more of Gus and find out more about his backstory.

I love Saul, just not sure I could watch and entire hour of just him.

+1. This would probably be a much better idea than Saul spin-off. Bob Odenkirk is funny and all but Jonathan Banks is AWESOME.

We already saw the backstory to Gus though?

The actor who plays Gus is already stretched thin between two other shows each on different networks, no way will he do a 3rd. Mike would be better for sure but it ain't happening.

I didn't think I'd like Revolution very much but it's turned out to be one of my favorite cable TV shows. Gus from Breaking Bad is very good on it. The demeanor of his character on Revolution is somewhat similar to his character on Breaking Bad.

I'm fine with the Mike spinoff, but at the very least give Saul a recurring role.

I think the Saul spin-off would work the best. They could easily make it a "dumb criminal of the week" type of show with one or two high priority clients that fill out a seasonal arch.

Mike is a great character, but there isn't much to see that we haven't already. And with Saul, you could bring in a dozen different Mikes. Just don't make it like that X-Files spin-off with The Lone Gunmen.

Barely and not even close to my liking! He was such a fantastic character, just wanted to know more and more about him.
