[Show spoiler]I don't think he'll die here. His character is so crucial to this series that I think if he does die, he will die in either the penultimate episode or the final one.

I am very confused about the house still standing at the beginning of this half-season, but that doesn't necessarily mean Jesse didn't end up burning it up. Maybe he succeeds! And if there was any doubt that the ricin that's left would be destroyed, of course the writers figured that out with the electrical outlet cover.

I don't know. It's a possibility, of course! But I don't think Jesse will be offed just yet.

[Show spoiler]Yeah, I only saw Season 4 once, so I completely forgot about that plot thread. Thank goodness I wasn't the only one! I thought he was freaking out over him forgetting that cell phone that Saul gave him... but no!

I'm one of the biggest fans of the show, I'm sure anyone in this thread knows that...so understand that before reading.

Does anyone think the show is a bit predictable right now?
[Show spoiler]Besides the Walt video of course...WOW
but the fact that Jesse found out at the last second? How shocking would it have been for him to actually get out of town and then we see Walt trying to get him back or something? Or are fans just really creative in predicting what will happen? Or maybe "predictable" isn't the correct word, but taking the easy way out?

but don't get me wrong, tonight had many incredible moments and this episode is one of the best..... the final scene, the scene with Jesse and Saul, the restaurant scene, etc. etc.

I feel like I understand where you're getting that impression. I feel like the show is starting to show its patterns a little more... Walt saying stuff intensely while moving his body and head independently and staring down who he's talking to, Skyler constantly worrying and being an emotional person, Jesse being a ticking time bomb and occasionally breaking down, Saul being Saul, Hank and Marie's dynamic...

I mean, I'm not sure if I'm conveying this right, but yeah... I definitely notice some patterns on the show. It also feels like this last couple episodes have fallen into the True Blood trap of narrative structure, as in most of the episode barely anything noteworthy happens, and then right at the end they throw in a couple cliffhangers. Aside from the "confession", this episode was the same.

After 5 seasons of characters developing fully and us being at the end, it's easy to understand if there will be patterns or a lack of satisfaction with some elements. I feel like the writers knew this and that's why they put a stopping point on the series, once and for all.

Tension-filled goodness throughout. This was without a doubt one of the best episodes of this entire series (up to this point anyway). The quality of this series never ceases to amaze me. These first three episodes of the final season have been nothing short of amazing. Only 5 episodes left! Next Sunday can't get here soon enough.

I really don't know why everyone is raving about this episode. It's certainly not one of the best episodes of the show. Yeah, the confession scene was amazing and seeing Jesse lose his shit finally was great but it doesn't compare to some of the episodes in season 4.

Agreed. People do this after every episode. It was good I enjoyed but it's not even close to the best episode in the series.

Off the top of my head, my very favorite episode comes from season 4.
[Show spoiler]When Gus and his friend/partner visit the cartel and try to form a partnership. They did a splendid job of making them look younger and I thought it was very suspenseful. It gives Gus great personal history with Hector which helps formulate their characters.

Outstanding episode.

Best episode of the series is when Walt and Jesse are in the desert w/ Hector & Tuco in the desert

Or Walt in the crawl space

Or Walt waiting for Gus in the parking garage

Or "I won."

Part of the reason I loved this episode so much was because of the

[Show spoiler]confession. It was like a small "reboot" for the final 5 episodes. They surprised us all with the confrontation in the first episode back and then we were wondering how it would be played out and then this happens which none of us expected and throws yet another curveball.

I'm sure I was not the only one who was laughing during the confession. It was just pure evil at it's best and couldn't believe that Walt had just pulled it off yet again. So methodical, so meticulous. It was like he had this planned the entire time as his exist strategy.

The hug scene in the desert and the confrontation with saul were icing on the cake.

The scene with Walt in the crawl space was beautiful. The scene was lit so well and it just felt so ****ing creepy. When she got that phone call my jaw dropped at how epically they handled that scene. Just perfect.
