Do stick with it! I watched the first five episodes (I think) before I began to care and from then on I was hooked! Hopefully you'll enjoy it if you watch a few more - both it and BB (especially this last season) are really rewarding viewing IMO.

For anyone wanting to get into the wire or sopranos, I found I really started getting into both around half way into their second seasons. Upon rewatching both of them, I then enjoyed their first seasons more.
The Wire is the hardest to get into. But once you're in, you'll appreciate why it is considered the best of the best. Breaking Bad is joint best, but if they nail it tonight they will be the best. My top 4 tv shows of all time: (yes 4!) 4. Deadwood 3. The Sopranos Joint 1. The Wire/Breaking Bad Below that I start picking seasons of certain shows. Game of thrones may well claim fifth spot soon! I would put Deadwood on my list too if it wasn't for the lack of a finale. Here's my top 3: LOST Breaking Bad The Wire I never watched the Sopranos Quote:

My top 5 has got to be
The Office Game of Thrones Breaking Bad (this show has grown on me so much) Mad Men Wilfred I still need to watch The Wire, Homeland, Six Feet Under, and Boardwalk Empire though. Last edited by Visco.; 09-29-2013 at 07:22 PM. |

Right now, my top 3 shows:
Breaking bad Game of thrones The sopranos Other shows that I like, but can't list as my favorites because I feel their quality dips too much in later seasons: The office, It's always sunny in Philadelphia, Dexter, Lost, Other shows that I still need to watch/dive into more: The wire, boardwalk empire, mad men. |

Hmm, I can never decide how highly I rate it. I think you could be right, based off the strength of the last couple of seasons of BB (especially this current one). But then BE might improve further like BB did from its early seasons. Either way, BB and The Wire are probably my top two shows of all time!
