I just got done binge watching the entire series again for the third time in 4 years. Timed it perfectly. Watched the final few episodes last night and now I'm in for the movie. Crazy thing is I live in Albuquerque and I had no idea they were filming it.

I just finished watching El Camino...wow...absolutely perfect coda to Breaking Bad...the writing, dialogue, music and cinematography were all first rate...I was worried that Vince Gilligan was hanging on to Breaking Bad a bit too long and wanted him to move on to other stories but this was such a great way to end Jesse's story...so many surprising and cool cameos...an absolute must watch for any Breaking Bad fan

the Dolby Vision quality was simply stunning...reference quality in almost every scene...might be the best looking implementation of DV yet for a streaming show...everything was so detailed and the HDR added so much pop to every scene...I wouldn't be surprised to hear that this was filmed with 6K or 8K cameras, it looked that good

"Breaking Bad" Restaurant Los Pollos Hermanos Comes to Life Via Virtual Restaurant
by Chris Gardner
Oct. 21, 2019

Family Style Inc. — a delivery kitchen network which operates 23 "enlightened kitchens" across California, Nevada and Illinois — has partnered with Sony Pictures Consumer Products and Uber Eats to bring Los Pollos Hermanos to life under a three-year deal launching Oct. 24 exclusively on Uber Eats.

Inspired by the restaurant chain owned by Gustavo "Gus" Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito, on both "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul", Los Pollos Hermanos will offer menu items for delivery such as Pollos Tenders, Fring Fries and the ABQ Hot Chicken Sandwich.

The latter is described as "a buttermilk battered fried chicken breast served on a buttered bun with dill pickle chips and a whole grain mustard spread." It comes with a dollop of “Slaw Goodman” on the side for the "perfect bite."

Delivery from Los Pollos Hermanos will be available in Los Angeles initially before a planned expansion to other metropolitan destinations like San Francisco, Oakland, San Diego, Las Vegas and Chicago.

Under the deal, Uber Eats will offer one week of free delivery every month on all Los Pollos Hermanos orders for a six-month period under the partnership. There will not be a brick-and-mortar location.

For the longest time, I’ve harbored the idea of a real-life Los Pollos Hermanos where Breaking Bad fans could savor Gustavo Fring’s chicken,” said the show's creator Vince Gilligan.

Little did I realize this could be accomplished without building an actual brick-and-mortar restaurant. Yay, technology! Smart phones actually are good for something!

I'm on episode 12 of season 5. Walter is reminding me of my most recent ex girlfriend.
[Show spoiler] There isn't hardly a word that comes out his mouth that isn't a lie. It's kind of sad seeing him turn into such a sleaze bag.

Kind of odd that instead of adding a couple more episodes to season 5 they made an add on movie to finish it instead. Nice way to wrap up Jesse's storyline though. Loved the
[Show spoiler] old west style dual. That was fun. Guess they should have just given him the $1,800. He did ask nicely.

I feel like there could have been a real competition between the two if pitted against one another in 2014, but Game of Thrones blatantly lost it's magic around Season 5 and started showing its seams, devolving into just another TV show.

It didn't. Season 5 had The Gift, Hardhomme, The Dance of Dragons, and Mother's Mercy. The show leveled off during Season 7. I still enjoyed that season and 8 even though it gets crushed by just about everyone.

Sorry, that was meant for a different thread. But I wasn't saying that Season 5 didn't have its moments, just that that's the point that conventional TV weaknesses started creeping in. The final season is the only season I'd consider objectively bad. But the patient, almost infallible storytelling seemed to end with Season 4.

I'm not sure what you mean by infallible storytelling, what are you talking about here. Season 5 had more than 'it's moments'. It's one of the best seasons for the show.

Just wanted to bump this thread, to say how much I love this song, and how I can't thank breaking bad enough for introducing me to this perfection of a song.

I recently finished watching the entire series in a couple weeks and due to the extensive special features ordered the Blu-Ray set. The wrapping on the box includes the following notations:

Loaded with Uncensored special features and 2-hour documentary

10th Anniversary

Exclusive Production Prints

I do not see the noted barrel extra called "Half Measures." Is the two-hour documentary a mislabel for my set? Thanks.

SPOILER:

First, cannot really even read this thread as number of posts about "El Camino" that probably contain spoilers and also for "Game of Thrones."

So hard to avoid spoilers! My sisters encouraged me to watch. I told them to be careful not to give any of the story away. I also mentioned that I noticed a prequel existed called "Better Call Saul," upon where one of my sisters jumped in and said, "Yes, there is also a two-hour movie after the series starring the Jesse character." I said, thanks, you just told me that he does not get killed in the series!!

BREAKING BAD might be the Best TV Show Ever!

Its script to cinematography to "geographical location usage" to all the lead and support characters' three-dimentionality may have no equal after everything is being said and done.

Just think about this........BB's "spin-off" BCS is now considered one of Best TV shows ever. That itself is a testament to BB's GOATness.

Not just BB created "collateral" memorable characters like "nacho", "lalo" etc in BCS but also giving rise to "knock-off" poor versions like OZARK and Jason Bateman's Marty Byrde, a poor man version of Walter White.

Still cannot imagine BB was passed on by HBO because of its content. Good for AMC.

Honestly, I'd be interested in a prequel series set 2 centuries before the events of the show, chronicling the adventures of the White family at the time of Alta California pre-Independence.

She definitely shouldn't have said that... but in the BB universe that's not NECESSARILY a spoiler. At this point, you don't know where El Camino fits into the whole timeline...

My advice, just don't tell anyone you are watching it anymore. People can't help themselves. I was at my extended family's for Easter and I had the last two episodes of Severance to watch. Just kept it to myself. I know for a fact if I had mentioned it, one particular family member would go out of their way to spoil it and act like it was an accident.

If they don't know, they can't screw with you.

It does beg the question: who's had the worst "fall from grace" arc?

Satan from Paradise Lost
Darth Vader from the original trilogy
Two Face from The Dark Knight
Charles Foster Kane
Michael Corleone
Taketoki Washizu
Sweeney Todd
Daniel Plainview

Or Walter White?

I’m currently doing a complete watch through starting with BCS and now BB(I’m on S3 Ep 3) and then El Camino but I didn’t realize until now just how much Saul & Walt are alike. Both really don’t care for anyone else but themselves and accomplishing what ever objective they are on at the time no matter who else gets hurt. Saul only really cared for Kim that’s it, not even Chuck and Walt only cares for Skyler & the kids that’s it, not even Hank or Marie or any other family members including his own mother. Both men freely use most anyone they can for whatever they need. This is only my second time watching BB all the way through as I never watched the show when it aired.
