What was the purpose of the ricin under Walt's hat in the restaurant? He obviously didn't give it to Lydia, so.....?

This is just so fascinating that in a show that traces ALL steps, that Walt would leave something like that out in plain sight. Maybe he WANTED Hank to find it?

He brought it just in case she wasn't going to give up the names.

There was a scene earlier this season in which he was reading the book (I believe) and the whole point of all that was showing how Walt just didn't care about that stuff anymore. For awhile, the book was stashed away until recently he started re-reading it and stopping to care about that kind of stuff. So I don't think he WANTED Hank to find it, he just didn't care.

And that scene between Walt and Jesse was INTENSE

It's funny how even though I thought Walt was an a-hole for the past...7 episodes I immediately changed how I viewed him when he was discovered by Hank. RUN W.W RUN!

I was really sure Walt was going to reveal something to Jesse at the end...but Jesse still has no idea about Walt poisoning Brock, him allowing Jane to die, him killing Mike...there are so many things that keep building up...when the hell will Jesse find out??

Same goes with the pool scene before Hank went into the bathroom. But it never happened. What was the purpose of showing Walt on an CT scanning machine again?

[Show spoiler]planning to use it on her after he got the names. Once she proved herself useful still, he changed his mind.

[Show spoiler]is terrified of Walt. He heard about him taking care of all the other loose ends in prison and had probably been waiting for Walt to show up and tie up another loose end (Jessie). The gun was for his protection.

My wife and I just finished Season 4. Wow.

The entire series should have just ended right there and not go on for season 5. I mean that was a perfect ending. But I guess the show must go on. I haven't even attempted to watch season 5 yet. Does it really expand the story more?

Someone needs to explain the ending reveal for me...

[Show spoiler]Hank pulls out a book that has some message in it written out to Walter from, who I think, was the lab assistant that Gus hooked him up with back at the Pollo hermanos/Laundry lab (I can't remember his name).

How did Hank know the exact same message that was written in whatever book that was that he found in Walt's bathroom? He remembered telling it to Walter after he was attacked by the two Mexican hitmen (and released from the hospital) when he was collecting rocks and being all depressed at home. Did Hank have that same book and Walt just stole it from him? Hank was given the file and notebook that was in that lab assistant's apartment by the DEA guy that wanted him to look it over at home, but was that book inside of it? How did that book end up in Walt's bathroom?

[Show spoiler]The book was a gift from Gale, and inside the book was a note written from Gale to Walt. It wasn't the exact same message as Hank found before, just the same 'W.W' name, and also Gales initials.
