Anyway, if we're honest, Sony doesn't innovate anymore. When was the last time Sony brought something new to the market? They used WOLED panels from LG and QD-OLED panels from Samsung, and then placed a Sony Tax on them. They use marketing schemes like " The King of TVs" to justify overpricing their TVs by fooling the blind, sheep-like public into believing (on a subconscious level) that if they own a Sony, they are somehow a King themselves. I have to give it to them; they are very good at marketing. |

I have seen Value Electronics bestow that title on winners of their annual TV Shootout event- an event that Sony does not always win. Your obsession with Sony is truly bizarre. I have never seen anyone bash a company with the zeal or frequency that you have with Sony. If you dislike this company as much as your endless tirade suggests, then don't buy their products. Simple. Easy Peasey. If you want to have a real say in how Sony operates their business become a shareholder and attend their stock holder meetings. Shares are only $25.60 at the moment. As for the Sony Bravia 8 II, the current target of your ire, it has already been established that there are other and likely better performing choices for the same price, or less, than that of the Bravia 8 II. Both the Samsung S95 and S90F were preferred by some review sites; the former costs the same as the Bravia 8 II while the latter is $500 lower. Instead of constantly complaining about Sony, why not praise the competition for offering a better choice in this instance or maybe do something really radical and actually buy one of the better choices? Post something positive for once in your life already. |

Sony TVs and Projectors are mostly purchased by the video enthusiasts, and the general public that researches TV reviews to help them select their new TV purchase.
Sony does buy the latest technology and best panels for their TVs, but it's Sony's XR processor that is upgraded to best match the full capabilities of the new advancement in the digital displays that makes their TVs perform as best as it can be! When they carried over the A95L from 2023 - 2024 I asked why don't we have a successor to the flagship A95L Master Series QD OLED TV, and the answer I got was "You're on our panel of advisers, tell me what you would like the A95L to do better?" Later that year the A95L won our 2024 TV Shootout® and we crowned Sony's A95L The "King of TV®" Hope you and many of our fellow Blu-ray.com members will watch our 2025 TV Shootout® Evaluation event that will start at 10am EST this Saturday, July 26. |

Today is the one year anniversary of my 85" Sony Bravia 9 TV!
![]() I have had this beautiful beast in my home for one year now and it impresses me as much today as it did on the very first day. Every time that I watch it I find something about its performance that amazes me. I have NEVER owned a TV anywhere near this awesome before. I purchased it from Value Electronics and I opted for their Quality Control check and professional calibration service. All said and done and with nice discounts applied I paid about $5,200 grand total. I do not regret paying a single solitary cent of it. Watching movies in my home is one of the few remaining activities that I can enjoy and this TV has elevated my home viewing experience to a height that I did not know was possible. I am sure that someone will tell me that I could have made a better choice; people love to Monday morning quarterback, but I am very happy with my decision. I hope that everyone can find a TV that delights them as much as my 85" Bravia 9 does me. ![]() |

I'm hoping that Sony takes an L on this weekend's VE shootout. They need to be humbled, but I doubt that they will. Sony has home court advantage at the VE Shootout, and they know it. |

You already asked me that back on July 7th in the Bravia 9 thread and I replied to you there with:
Quote:
"Peak 10% Window: 2,873 cd/m²" https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/so...led#test_31616 Bright scenes that are meant to be dazzling actually are on the Bravia 9 and it does a very good job with contrast. I like to think of Mini-LED as the bridge technology that will lead to Micro LED improving and finally reaching consumer friendly price points. Last edited by Vilya; 07-25-2025 at 03:29 PM. |

![]() The price for the 77" Samsung S95D is even better than you think; Best Buy has it for just $2499.99. That's a $2300 difference compared to the 77" Sony A95L. You should stop accusing the judges at, and the host of, the Value Electronics TV Shootout of showing favoritism towards Sony just because you disagree with some of their decisions. You have no evidence to support your aspersions. Value Electronics sells all of the brands featured in the TV Shootout, so bias towards one brand is not in their interest. I will use myself as a case in point, but behind spoilers because this is really a topic for the General Chat section. [Show spoiler] No one needs a premium TV the same as they do not need countless other luxury items, so I am not bothered at all about the cost of such extravagances. I reserve my anger for companies like those among Big Pharma that exorbitantly price critical medications putting them out of reach of anyone without great insurance. If anyone owns a Bravia 7, I'd be interested to read your thoughts and opinions. The smallest size is bigger than I would like...I wanted something more in the 48 - 50 inch range...but otherwise it seems to tick most of the boxes for my needs.

I am not for multi billion dollar company’s I am for free will to buy what you want or not to. If I don’t like the price I don’t buy simple it’s not about hating a company for asking a price it’s there choice and they can do what they want if they produce crap at high price they will go out of business it’s that simple. But sitting here bashing Sony over and over for doing what a business is suppose to do is asinine and you have proven you hate Sony it’s not just me saying it.and back to your micro led it’s 149,999.99 from that greedy company Samsung where’s your bashing Samsung for being so greedy
